A MOST enjoyable 3 night stay. From reception, staff and particularly the brilliant cook the service was efficient, friendly, good humoured and likable. It was our best hotel experience during 4 weeks traveling in India. We would love to come back. The hotel building itself is magnificent, with nearly beautiful gardens.
Loved this hotel. The food was delicious and the staff friendly. We only stayed one night but wish it could have been longer. A beautiful town and a beautiful place to stay.
Went for lunch, Mr. Kundan was server and really took well care. The food was excellent and service equally good. Its worth a visit if going to Patiala.
Very costly restaurant although dishes are of good quality and taste. You can go for refreshing yourself in baradari garden and then have some things to eat here. Best way to enjoy city of gardens.
Great place to see if you love visiting historical places and furniture. You will see cast iron rare furniture. Very spacious and limited activity inside. But requires maintenance
I managed to sneak in a fab getaway in Patiala, which was a perfect nest to celebrate my wedding anniversary. Grand yet homely, aided with the best hospitality and comforting delicious food. Located in the hush green area around, this property is surrounded by Baradari garden, which is also open to anyone who wants to visit and enjoy the nature. One can always hear the birds chirping all day. If you really want to relax and stay away from the hustle bustle of your busy schedule, you can surely give this property a try. This property has 18 rooms which are huge and so is the washroom. Every room is given a different name which is related to the royal family who used to live here. They have an in-house restaurant which is not only for residents but is also open to the public and also has a Bar. They also serve high tea which is complimentary for resident guests. Breakfast was complimentary in my package. Just a suggestion - The breakfast menu should have more options. If I talk about food, it's super delicious. Being situated in Punjab, I was quite hesitant in ordering Continental and Chinese but the taste was authentic. The best part about this property is that they have a balcony with every room and table chairs are already placed where you can enjoy the evening. Staff is well trained on how to treat their guests with a warm welcome. A big shout out that they arranged the candle light dinner outside the room only ( it was one of the best experiences) Highly recommended, prices are not too high. Also you have the Royal city to explore
Food was delicious especially the Malai kofta and naan was so crisp a perfect combination, their apple iced tea is a must it was a perfect drink for this hot summer. Ambience was great and service was also very commendable.
This modest palace turned into a hotel is a beautiful place to stay at. The rooms, hotel and grounds are well maintained and the place exudes heritage, culture and history. I loved my room and the bathroom was gorgeous. Service is smiling and warm, food is excellent at the restaurant and I'd definitely recommend staying here for at least a night. One star less for the very slow, unorganized breakfast service. If you are sitting in the restaurant, you will have a better chance of spotting a staff member. If you are outside in the corridor, forget it. The waiters/staff don't come outside, so you cannot ask for a-la-minute preparations like eggs.. you will have to eat whatever is on the buffet. There is drastic room for improvement in terms of the breakfast food and service. Follow @thatgoangirl on Instagram for more great places to stay.
