ThakurTal - Lake in Jabalpur - Jabalpur, India

Thakurtal - A great Place for trekking, photography, nature hiking, birdwatching and family picnics in Naya Gaon, Rampur, of my hometown, Jabalpur. Excellent trek with an intermediately difficult terrain with a well-marked pathway that takes one up a hill with a slight elevation, to a Lake called Thakurtal. It was named after an aide of Jabalpur's Gond Queen, Rani Durgavati, Mahesh Thakur of Darbhanga who's descent is the Darbhanga dynasty

The track to the pond is bit rocky and steep but once u get there the view is just worth it. But now the area has been fenced due to active leopard movements... But still u can go there for some adventure sports like rock climbing or treking ,also you can take a asthetically pleasing view of jabalpur if climb one of the highest rocks

Good hike to take you away form the city. Could be a lot better place if the unwanted elements didnt go there to drink and loiter.

You definitely ought to see the giant white lotus in this beautiful natural lake situated on mountain top. You have to climb a small mountain to reach there. Visit there early morning for best feel. Peaceful, beautiful place. Enjoy nature's serenity. And yes you can even spot a few peacocks there.

It is a nice picinic spot in the middle of Jabalpur.A tank ( talab, Thakur Tal) on a hill top, in Naya Gaon,Rampur. A natural place in Jungle. But you have to climb slope of hill, for about 350M to reach to top, vehicles can be parked at the bottom at your risk. However it has vast scope for development.

Sometime you can see peacocks there , listen to their sound , watching this beautiful lake provide calm , but this place is not easily accessible , to reach there you have to hike littil
