Tejpatta has been a good Biryani hut for a while now. The Biryani is quite delicious but I would like to add that the quality has degraded a bit lately. The last time I ate Mutton Biryani here, the piece of mutton was not properly cooked and had difficulty eating and also the rice was undercooked. Tejpatta has a good reputation in Chandannagar and has room for improvement too. I hope my review helps.
Having heard glowing positive reviews about their Biryani, I decided to treat myself to a lovely Sunday luncheon. And I was delighted by the food. Its been over 2.5 hours since lunch and I don't feel the heaviness that comes with eating a scrumptious meal. It was very well prepared, light on the stomach and brought out the right flavours in the mouth! I eat non vegetarian food very rarely and the cooks at Tejpattaa did not disappoint! Thank you for such a wonderful food and service! It was equally wonderful to interact with the owner, Mr Sabyasachi. I wish him all the best on his endeavour!

I enjoyed the taste of the biryani, though I can't comment on its authenticity as a Mughlai cuisine. A boiled potato peeks behind from copious rice and a generous portion of succulent meat - lightly spiced yet flavorful. The boiled egg is a bonus.
This tempting Biryani is definitely worth trying.
The Biriyani made here is simply amazing! The price is within the reasonable range. Chicken biryani is priced at Rs.140 per plate. The only problem is that, instant orders are not taken, so you have to order beforehand (like, say, in the afternoon if u want it in the evening or night). But, I think they would overcome this hurdle if orders come reliably and continuously when the shop becomes more well-known later on...
