Tea County Munnar - Resort hotel in Munnar - Idukki, India

During our stay at KTDC Tea County Munnar with my family, we were impressed by the overall experience. The rooms were immaculate, providing a neat, clean, and spacious environment. The hygiene standards were exceptional, ensuring a comfortable and safe stay. The staff members were incredibly polite and attentive, always ready to assist with any requests or inquiries. Additionally, the property boasted a picturesque view, allowing us to immerse ourselves in the serene surroundings of Munnar. The only suggestion we have is to enhance the breakfast options to provide more variety. Overall, our stay at KTDC Tea County was delightful, and we highly recommend it for a memorable family vacation.

Location is good, just above the town where you can easily walk in and out of. There is no spa or massage. When asking where they recommended I get a massage, I got a shrug of the shoulders. Desk staff were not helpful or forth coming about local areas or excursions. Food in the restaurant was bland and very basic. The cleanliness was not great. The napkin holders haven't been washed in months. If you order off the menu, be prepared to wait a long time. Now the room. Sheets were stained. Bed smelt. No mattress protectors, just a thin sheet on the mattress. I asked for an extra duvet to place underneath us. Towels have seen better days. The room was tired and not clean. Built up of dirt around all corners and around the sink. The TV constantly buzzed. The walls are very thin. You can hear the people next door. ( sounds we really didn't want or need to hear). No hairdryers. The gardens are well kept. This is not a 4 star hotel. I stayed in a far better 2 star in Kochi. Very disappointing as had high expectations for this hotel.

The most convenient location to stay in Munnar, quite close to the market, nice resturants for lunch or dinner, etc., at a walking distance and still the property is hidden away from the busy hustle bustle of the place. Sight-seeings from Munnar being in three different directions, this become the centre point to go anywhere and saves time. Certainly one can also choose to stay away amidst some Tea Plantation little far away in the hills. Resort is quiet and peaceful, has well landscaped Gardens and nice decent rooms with all required amenities. My personal opinion being - the balcony views of the backside rooms are better' than the front ones. Morning Buffet Breakfast is quite a nice spread with all the regular options from South Indian to North Indian, English Breakfast, some freshly cut fruits, etc., which is more than sufficient, except if not someone expects for a lavish luxury breakfast to spend maximum time at the hotel itself.

Great location by being in the middle of the city however extremely quiet owing to being slightly above the hustle and bustle. Front office and housekeeping staff extremely helpful and friendly. Rooms are grand, clean and has the flavour of colonial building with wooden architecture woven in. Property is kept very clean despite it being green with plant variety.

It was nice stay, location of hotel is very good and scenery from the hotel is really excellent. Staff behaviour and services was very good. Food quality and taste specially Veg Biryani was very tasty. Overall experience was very good and rated as five star.

The place is very cozy and had few visitors even at peak lunch time. We stopped by for the lunch buffet. Kids aged around 5 or so eat free. The food wasn't anything extraordinary, just met expectations. The restaurant is spacious and has a good view. The roasted pumpkin soup was good. Chicken clear soup was meh. Only other non-veg option included in the buffet was fish curry. We ordered chicken 65 separately, and it was good. Would recommend if you want to eat in peace and enjoy the view.

Welcoming and courteous staff. Excellent food. Beautiful room and picturesque view from hotel. Checked in today. Excited and thrilled to experience Tea County as well as Munnar for next few days.
