TB Dam Power House - Hydroelectric power plant in Hosapete - Ballari, India

An amazing place to view sunset, the place behind the dam has a huge garden. The dam is too good. the place is well maintained. Evenings are pretty as the gardens are lit! must visit place. there are ice cream carts and more too. If you liked this review, please give a thumbs up below.

Spent an evening at TB Dam on 3.3.18. Nice bus transport arrangement made by Authorities - 6pm to 8.30pm, Rs 20 per head for up & down. You can use a different bus for coming down the hill since you need time to enjoy beautiful sunset and view of the dam and surrounding areas from atop the dam site. Musical fountain and Aquarium at base. Though musical fountain is good, it's still a smaller one as compared to that at KRS Brindavan Gardens, Mysuru. Worth visiting this place especially in the evening, when you are around in Hospete area.

Apres avoir paye l'entree nous nous sommes rendu compte que le barrage etait ferme donc l'eau ne passait pas. L'endroit etait pratiquement desert.

Very less water when i went. Very hot at afternoon time. But Its very good in evening.

It's clean, fresh and cool. A very good place on the way to hampi. If you love dams and large water bodies, put this on your list. Get to see a lot of engineering marvels. Visit the aquarium, and the mini parks. Overall a very good place for family and team outings.

Another great place in Hampi to view the sunset. There are no private vehicles allowed. Buses ply from the base to the top however there is no need for anyone to take the bus. One can reach the top by walking for 20 odd minutes. The walk is not tiring as well as the slope is very gentle. The view of the dam during the sunset is breathtaking.

Life line for millions of Indian both in power & water

The scenery here is extremely beautiful. You cannot go in ur private vehicle up till the dam and hence u hav WORST bus services.... Only 2 buses go up and down everyday 7 kms... People r pushed in like mad... Dont know about other times but during peak hours like sunset and holidays, things r more worst...... Hencez i would reccomend u to check the crowd and visit the dam.... Early morning like 8 would be a better option... Thank u.
