One of the oldest train railroads, located on a coastal town, in Tirur Taluk. The station is small and quiet, some trains are not stopping. Nearest station is parappangadi and Tirur. Majority trains having stop at Tirur station. Presently stations building has been demolished and new construction started. So access to station having little difficulty and dirty. Public transportation like bus station is very near and available auto rickshaw all the time.
If you want a peaceful station to catch or get off a train, Tanur railway station is a good choice. It has 3 places to stand and 30 trains that come and go. The station has some things you need like tickets, seats, food, and toilets. But the station is not very clean and can be very busy sometimes. The station is also hard to reach by bus or train and you may need to pay for a taxi or a rickshaw. Tanur railway station is fine for travelers who like a simple and quiet station.
This small railway station was built in British period and is historic in many aspects. The place always holds some calmess for its passengers.
Good station, Not much trains do have stoppage, still almost all main trains. Bus stop near by, Facilities getting added up.. Platforms raising to highlevel from Rail level.. A good station with adequate facilities.. Two stalls too available on platform....Works of improvement in progress. Will be a good one after works.. ..
Low rush, almost all trains have stop here. Only few people are here in the station
Platform is well cleaned n all. Have drinking water and toilet facilities, both are not bad. Resting benches are too good
One of the poorest railway station of southern railway. Plat forms dont have enough height. It is difficult to enter the train. Facilities are very poor. Waiting room and counters are needed to be renovated. Train Reservation available.Train toward north side coming on the platform number 1 and towards south side on the platform number 3
Not a major station. Only a few express trains have a stop here like Malabar, Mangalore TVM etc. Considering that, the station has got decent amenities including waiting room for upper class travelers, refreshment stalls etc.
Tanur Railway station is one among the first railway stations on the first railway line in kerala . From tirur to beypore was the first railway line in kerala.. most of the train have stop here.
