Sundarbans, located in the southwestern part of Bangladesh, is the largest mangrove forest in the world and a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Covering an area of approximately 10,000 square kilometers, Sundarbans is a unique ecosystem that is home to a diverse range of flora and fauna, including the Royal Bengal Tiger, saltwater crocodile, and a variety of bird species. The Sundarbans is a natural wonder that showcases the incredible biodiversity of Bangladesh. The forest is characterized by its interlocking network of tidal waterways, small islands, and dense mangrove forests. The mangroves themselves are an incredible feat of nature, with their unique adaptations to living in the brackish waters that flow in and out of the region twice daily. These mangroves provide vital habitats for a variety of species, both on land and in water. The Sundarbans is also home to the Royal Bengal Tiger, one of the rarest big cat species in the world. It is estimated that there are fewer than 200 tigers left in the Sundarbans, making it an incredibly important conservation area. The tigers are best seen on boat safaris that take visitors through the network of waterways, and visitors can also spot other wildlife, such as saltwater crocodiles, spotted deer, and wild boars. In addition to its natural beauty, the Sundarbans also has a rich cultural heritage. The forest has been inhabited by the indigenous people of the region for centuries, and their way of life is closely tied to the forest and its resources. Visitors to the Sundarbans can learn about these communities and their traditional practices, such as honey collection, fishing, and crab catching. Overall, the Sundarbans is an incredible natural wonder that showcases the unique biodiversity of Bangladesh. It is a must-visit destination for nature lovers, wildlife enthusiasts, and anyone interested in learning more about the region's rich cultural heritage.

Golpata Forest, also known as Mini Sunderban of Taki, is an ideal destination for Nature Lovers. It's situated on the bank of Icchamati River which is also the border area of India and Bangladesh and that's why the entire area is under the servalance of India's Border Security Force Amry. To visit here, you need an orginal ID card issued by Indian Government and by submitting that to BSF, you can enter this place. But don't worry they will definitely give you back your Id card before leaving this place. Now talking about this place, this mini forest named after a tree here, named Golpata Tree. Beside this particular tree in this forest, you can see other types of trees also. There is a beautiful footbridge inside this forest. Later the footbridge devided into two different paths, one is going to a Watchtower and the other one is going to the Riverside. The entire area is very photogenic and eye soothing. Resting place and washroom is also available there. This place is purely for the nature lovers. You can see here various types of birds also. I strongly recommend this place to visit. This is the most unique place among the other tourist attraction spots in Taki. Ticket price is also very minimal here.

The place is situated on the bank of Ichhamoti river. It is a mini forest with the mangrove trees that are usually found in Sundarban. Because of that people call it mini Sundarban. There is a concrete nature trail through the forest that allows you to walk freely without making your feet soiled. There is a BSF checkpost few meters away from the entry point. To enter into the forest one must carry one's Government id card and leave it at the checkpoint while entering. Collect it while leaving the forest.

This place is very famous for tourists who want to visit Taki. It is called 'Mini Sundarban'. You need to carry one ID card because there is a BSF check post. They will keep your ID card and you can collect it at the time of leaving the forest area. After passing the BSF check post, you can take a van or walk to reach near the forest. There is a narrow bridge to go inside the forest from where you can see the mangrove forest better. You can see Golpata, Goran, Gewa, Baan etc. After walking sometimes, you can see the narrow bridge divided into two lanes. One side goes to the River side and the other one goes to the Tower side. The river side is better. Here you can see the Bangladesh border closely. At the tower side, you can climb up but there is nothing to see that much.

Taki Golpata Forest is called mini Sundarban. Here you can have an experience like a mangrove forest. This is a notable spot among Taki's side scenes. To enter here you have to pass a bsf check post first and every individual person is required to submit their ID Proof, if you are traveling as a group every person should submit their ID proofs. No outside vehicles are allowed beyond the BSF check post. After crossing the check post you can either walk around 1 kilometer Golpata Forest or take a shared motor van or toto. Toto fare is Rs 10 for going and Rs 10 for returning per person. And the forest entry fee is 10 taka per head. The environment inside is very beautiful and calm. From here, Bangladesh can be seen very close across the Ichamati River. There is also a watch tower, but it cannot be seen far because of the forest trees. But it will be very nice among the greenery around.

You can get the vibe of a mangrove. Also a sitting area is there and a viewing spot. We can't spot any animals there .
