A historical place which is one of the best mosques I have visited so far. The construction and architecture of the mosque resemble the Mughal era. As I said the mosque is very beautiful and stands tall with its pride, the beauty is very mesmerising. I visited the mosque during the evening namaz and couldn't go inside. But I was impressed with the beautiful structure indeed.
Beautiful mosque. Serene place to marvel at the architecture and history of Bhopal. Please make sure you're fully covered though. Check in with the people there and they'll tell you what rules to observe in the premises. As with any place of worship, be respectful.
It's a marvelous piece of work and is a must visit in Bhopal town. It's known to be the biggest mosque in India. Built in 19th century by the then Bhopal ruler nawab Shah Jahan Begum. You can feel a tranquil atmosphere inside. Also the pillars and interior works in it is feast for eyes. Entry to the masjid is completely free of cost, but t the masjid was not at all much crowded even in the weekend. Don't know why tourists are not rushing to visit here.
Nice architecture. One of the largest mosque in the world and the largest in india. Even non muslims can visit this place.
It's a great experience. Find it similar to Jama Masjid in Delhi, but it's extended inside. It's the largest masjid in Asia in size and also has a Madrasa of about 400 students and students are also exempted from paying fee if they cannot afford it. It's easy to reach and a calming environment.

I was impressed by the sense of peace and tranquility that I felt when I was standing in front of the mosque. Even though it was locked, I could feel the energy of the place. It was a reminder that even though we may have different religions, we can all come together to appreciate beauty and peace. I would love to visit Taj-ul-Masjid again one day and be able to go inside. I am sure that it would be an even more incredible experience.
