Taj Sawai Ranthambore - Resort hotel in Sawai Madhopur - Sawai Madhopur, India

The rooms were really nice and the staff were all very helpful and friendly. Super clean rooms and very nice facilities. Live music at night and a table tennis table to play at. The meals were quite salty, but other than that quite nice. Vishnu helped us to book the safari canters (zones 3 and 4) which supposedly is much more scenic than the others. We didn't get to see a tiger but there was a lot of amazing wildlife. Overall a really good experience!

Beautiful location, facilities and grounds! Our room was adorable and beautifully decorated with a nice large bathroom and awesome outdoor courtyard shower. Unfortunately it was too cold to swim on our visit but the pool is gorgeous. I thought the food was very good and the dining room was very nice. All the staff were very friendly and solicitous. I wouldn't hesitate to go back and it was one of the highlights of our trip!

We had a pleasant experience here. The room was large, clean and well maintained. We also had an outdoor shower which was a nice touch. The hotel organised our safaris which were excellent. The spa was good and massages reasonably priced (compared to Europe). We also enjoyed using the pool and the pool table - although the table could be better maintained. The only point to improve on is the food- it's buffet style and only 2 non vegetarian options for lunch and dinner. The food in my view was a little underwhelming but apart from that I had a great stay here.

We stayed there for the first time and found out that their rooms, service, food etc everything is nice. In fact, we would like to thank the room service and other staff for surprising us with the birthday decorations they did for us. Rooms are bigger, service is prompt, and food has a lot of options. Inside, there is a clothes shop as well and shopping can be done at a reasonable cost. Overall, it's worth staying there. You won't regret it.

Perfect base for tiger tours. Service should get 7 stars. Pool area is beautiful, villas are set around the edge of the resort. Bar staff are great - good cocktails. Had a massage in the spa, which was awesome.

Amazing resort, very near to the safari gate. Rooms are top notch, garden facing with open-sky-showers. Balcony gives good views of the property.

Sawai Vilas is situated at a wonderful location with huge comfortable rooms having private garden and open to sky shower areas. The restaurant food is also very good with elaborate choices. They specially attended to our Gluten free, Vegan and Jain options. The main chef as well as other staff took extra care to serve it in different cuisines. The stepwell bar added to an ambient atmosphere and the live local folk music was also very soothing. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The game safari drive picked us from the resort, in the open vehicle and we were thankful to the hotel staff for providing blankets to each of us for protection against the chilly winds. The only suggestion we would like is to build up the approach road to the resort. But overall we would highly recommend all to experience their stay at this beautiful place.

The property is good and lavish but this is the only thing good about it. The service, hospitality and food was very pathetic. I fail to understand how this property got so many good reviews. We were a group of 18 people and we were highly disappointed. Anything we requested, from food to room service either came after 3 hours or did not come at all and they conveniently forget it. Even after asking repeatedly we never got the food we ordered. Staff was very slow. Food was bland and their all day menu had only 5 options out of which they will tell you 2 are not available anytime you ask them. For a highly priced property the service was really pathetic.Even all the gaming facilities were not maintained. Pool table had torn cloth, cue sticks did not even have a tip. Foosball did not have a ball, Table tennis rackets had no rubber. Highly disappointed! The staff doesn't even has the courtesy to say sorry after you express your disappointment. They just stand dumb with blank faces. I will recommend to spend your money on some other property which is actually worth what they charge.
