I stayed with my family at Taj Kumarakom from Nov 23-25. I loved the location, architecture and ambience. The food was nice and chef/staff was really supportive. I had few issues with other services. There was lack of information on many amenities available with the room price. There was no information on the fogging time and they did not alert guests sitting on patio before doing it. This could expose guests to harmful chemicals. Other major issue was with the spa services. I went for a couple's massage and again there was lack of information/support on usage of steam room. I accidentally burnt my ankle from the nozzle due to lack of visibility. There should be mandatory safety training for customers using spa services. Also, there was no first aid kit available for immediate pain relief. This was the worst spa service I received so far. I would request the staff to incorporate this feedback to avoid future mishaps.
A one day stay at Taj Kumarakom. Took room right next to the pool and wellness centre.
ROOMS: 4/5. Very spacious and luxurious rooms. Bed was super good. Room and bathroom was very clean. Not giving 5/5 as there was no tub in the bathroom. When you pay Rs15k, you expect some basic luxury like that. No jacuzzi too. It's just a very basic bathroom.
SWIMMING POOL: 4/5 Only my kid and I got into the pool. Both of us became sick the next day. Fever, Cough. Don't know if the pool was not clean or something else but we fell sick after we reached home.
FOOD: 3/5. For Taj standards and at 3x times the rate, the food could have been better. Food can be improved a lot.
STAFF: 5/5.. Great staff. Very customer focused.

Please improve on food and bathroom luxury. Don't know if any improvement is needed in swimming pool. Only thing is that we feel sick but can't club that with the pool.
Excellent resort with serene vibes. A calm and quaint place to rejuvenate your soul. Awesome food too and hospitality is top notch. Visited this resort before and will be going back again for sure. went with family and It was a memorable experience would suggest this resort for anyone seeking to relax in nature.

The lush greenery and the serene surroundings truly made us feel like we were in a tropical paradise.
The accommodation was luxurious and comfortable, with spacious rooms offering breathtaking views of the lagoon and Bakers lodge. The resort's facilities, including the swimming pool and spa, were top-notch and allowed us to relax and rejuvenate during our stay.

Worst taj experience ever. The food is so limited, bad and overpriced you think your getting ripped off for street food. Not much of a selection of food, poor breakfast (considering your in the middle of nowhere) and no late night room service. Feels like a 4 star dated hotel. Mattresses were not good. Does not live up to taj standard. The grounds is very nice, staff are helpful but live in a dream world where if soemthing is wrong they laugh. If it was any hotel other than taj I probably would have given 3-4 stars, but for taj standards it's definitely not a 5 star experience and more of an overpriced 3-4 star experience.
We had a wonderful holiday at Taj Kumarakom. The location and hospitality were excellent. They took care of all needs of my old parents very pleasantly and patiently. Very close to the bird sanctuary and the boating pick up locations.
The dishes for vegetarian is absolutely waste. We ordered veg biryani which is 850/- for a small dish where in we got peas pulav with some capsicum stuff.. probably the availability of vegetarian stuff is very less, so they might have adjusted. The mix veg curry was also too dry and not worth for the price. Of course we have to pay for the ambience and the beautiful scenic view. Staff are polite and even chef too. But don't know whats wrong with the veg stuff here

We booked a 1 bedroom houseboat with A/C in the bedrooms. It was spacious and clean and the bedroom has an en-suite bathroom with an English toilet (no toilet paper only a water jet so take that if you need it!).

We had this mid-sized boat to ourselves (a group of 4). It was nice mostly sunny day so we enjoyed the view from top. The crew were very friendly and navigated the boat at a nice leisurely pace. My wife even took a short nap in one of the bedrooms.
