Taii Singpho - Restaurant in Guwahati - Kamrup Metro, India

I ordered the king-size mixed thali, which was alright. Personally, I feel the food was a little bland to my liking but it was still good. The items on the platter were mostly boiled food, cooked with minimal to no use of oil. So, you could say it was a pretty healthy meal. Quantity is sufficient for 1-2 people. The price of the food is a little high though. Service was great. The person that served me was very attentive and made sure that all my needs were met. I read a few reviews which said that the service had been poor, so I guess they have improved a lot! The overall ambience of the place is decent. There is also a bar serving cocktails, mocktails, etc. There are also some ethnic alcoholic drinks on the menu.

I went to this place after a lot of recommendations. I was told that the place's ambience might not be very good but the food will be awesome. I had travelled over 30 mins to reach the place. I was disappointed by the ambience but more by the food that arrived after a long wait. The pork pura salad was like any other place, nothing special. The fish pitika was recommended by the server, was better than the pork salad, but still nothing but ordinary. I have cooked better at home couple of times. The French fry took ages to come and when it came it fell below par. I was totally disappointed. Ambience and looks can be ignored but if it's accompanied by ordinary food, then there's not much to enhance your business expectations. Not to mention the prices were not very cheap.

It's one of of the best restaurants I've ever tried! We had the Singpho Pork thali and every dish was delicious. The food is very reasonably priced, specially considering the quality it provides. The service was efficient and the staff as well. The atmosphere is nice too, however it's a bit small. Booze is also served, which, again, is pretty cheap. Definitely a must try for pork lovers.

The atmosphere was nice inside, the sitting area was spacious and food was good. We ordered: Singpho Pork Thali 1x - 350 Singpho Chicken Thali 1x - 350 Vegetarian Thali 1x - 160 Chicken Dry Fry - 430 The food was good and the quantity was sufficient. For the Singpho Pork Thali, we did a customisation: skipped the pork gravy in the platter to get roasted pork. As it's mentioned in the menu, you have to pay extra 20 rupees to get fat less pieces of pork or they'll provide you with bulk pieces of pork fat. Also, they didn't provide any dry fish chutney with the pork platter, which was mentioned in the menu. Leaving that the rest was considerable. Also, to add on the wash basin is located inside their toilet which is horribly dirty, please clean it up!

Great food. Opted for the veg thali and the pork thali. Both the thalis felt like comfort food. The tupula bhat is a bonus. No complaints on the food front. Only two things that they should try to improve are the service, which is a tad bit slow and the infrastructure. Can try to make the place a bit cleaner and a tad bit cheerful but if one loves the vibe of dark shabby bars (alcoholic beverages are served as well), it is the place to visit.
