Ta Po Chi - Chinese restaurant in Rishikesh - Tehri Garhwal, India

Tasty food, the tandoori momos were very good. However the service was terrible, the waiter was very unfriendly. We had to find our own menus when we arrived. My Diet Coke was basically thrown at me, we were served 7 momos instead of the 8 stated on the menu and the waiter just shrugged when we told him this. Waiting time was very long, we waited over 30 minutes for a portion of veg spring rolls. It was also pretty chaotic with other tables complaining about the wait and service. With only four tables to manage I thought the service should have been a lot better! Helpful friendly service really does go a long way.

Can recommend all the food I had here. Nice to eat some foreign Asian dishes, but they also have indian food. Fried noodles with gravy were really good, as well as the Chinese style chop suey.

I had the thukpa and the half fried/half steamed momos (comes with 3 sauces but the spicy one in the winner) and both were 10/10

I have tried veg man-chow soup, momos, cheese corn roll and garlic rice. Everything was delicious and value for money. Ambiance was good and staff was prompt and gave nice suggestions. It is a mistake try restaurant if you are in Tapovan, Rishikesh.

I had a great time at the restaurant! The atmosphere was lovely, with a nice blend of modern and rustic decor. The service was prompt and attentive, and the staff was knowledgeable about the menu. The food was delicious, and I appreciated the variety of options available. My only small critique would be that the dessert menu could have had more choices. Guys! We discovered this place accidentally it was just opposite to where we stayed. And I am really glad we did. It has really amazing North Indian food and their Chinese is equally fantastic. Service and ambience are too good. A small place with reasonable prices and yummy food. Sure visit it if around in tapovan area.

I have been in India for 6 weeks now, and Ta Po Chi has been my favorite restaurant to dine at in Rishikesh! Amazing Chinese food and their Indian dishes are equally delicious! The staff are very nice and the prices are very fair. 10/10 would recommend!
