It is a nice place to sit in a.c and a small stall offering tea,coffee,biscuit,cake,cold drinks in the Swarnika tram.It is open from 1p.m to 8 p.m. Every visitor can stay there for 45 minutes only.Entry fee is 10 rupees.The most attracted part is its tram museium.Lovely place to sit and one can know about the history of tram.
It was earlier known as Curzon Park after Lord Curzon, British viceroy. Later renamed as Surendra nath park. Once a beautiful park and team line through the park was an icon of Calcutta. Presently used as a metro railway construction site and full of construction materials has lost its beauty.
