It has been recently developed and the crowd is better if you set out before the sunset. The best part is that now you can go with your kids as there is a barricaded and completely separate kids section where the family can spend quality time with the small ones. It is also appropriate for people who want to spend some time alone.
Very nice place for morning walk, jogging, outdoor activities and exercises. Several open gym equipments especially for ladies and older people. Ambience is very good. Low air & noise pollution as compared to nearby places. With big water bodies, big one is used for rowing too (through nearby club memberships). Several pay & use toilets, Play for kids, drinking water, 02 nos. specially designed accu pressure paths. You can also see some beautiful & rare birds there. Total 12 entry gates. Lots of free on road parking space outside the park. Several types of beverages & breakfast available nearby.
Very nice ambience in the morning. Favorite for morning walkers. Well maintained park. A narrow lane around the lake is pretty well for walking and enjoying the beauty of the greenery around the lakes. You can start your day from here. From the busy Kolkata traffics, air pollution, it's a sure relief. Worth visiting here.

If you want to experience greenery in the concrete filled kolkata, it's definitely a great choice. You can find tranquility and peace here with abundance of nature,best for morning walks or spending time in the lap of nature. One thing to mention,the lake at the time of evening,turns into a love hub,couples often are seen crossing the limits and violating public decency,so it's better not to bring children or elders at that time,apart from that one can spend time here among the vivid greenery.

If you are comfortable with seeing couples around you, it shouldn't be a problem. Perfect place for hanging out with friends (chatting, catching up, especially when on a low budget), or walking / running / spending time. The Dhakuria lake is a wonderful sight to view, especially during sunsets. No food items allowed though. You'll find college going students singing / playing musical instruments in a group all around the Lake. Plus, perfect place for evening / early morning walks.
