Sulekere Lake View point - Tourist attraction in Sulekere - Davangere, India

Scenic place on the way to Shanti Sagara view and boating. Good to spend with family. Very beautiful during monsoon with greenery all around. There is a temple also at the same spot. Not much crowded even on weekends. Good for a quick stop and pics. No good restaurants nearby. Good to carry food.

Its a giant lake is in Channagiri taluk of Davangere district which is also called Shanti Sagar. The total water storage capacity of the lake is at 2.67 tmcft. It irrigates 7,250 acres of land and is a source of drinking water for 110 human habitats including Chitradurga city; Channagiri and Jagalur towns. Place it in your bucket list for a one day trip with the distance of 50km from Davanagere. It is a very good place to enjoy and a treat to eyes with its green blanket of greenery and mountains.

its a beautiful lake in between hills, Hills are look like western ghats, heard that this lake is 2nd largest lake in Asia!. view point should be maintain cleanly, we can see a aqueduct(water carriage bridge) behind that, aqueduct is awsome but poor maintained its path which is connect aqueduct
