Sterling Arunai Anantha Tiruvannamalai - Resort hotel in Tiruvannamalai - Tiruvannamalai, India

We had booked a room for 4. Upon arriving, we were shown to a room with one large size bed and were told that another cot shall be arranged but instead, laid down two utterly thin mattresses when we had stepped out for lunch, though the room was spacious enough for a whole cot. The room had a lot of tiny lizards running here and there. The restaurant is worse. There were just two people during lunch, the chef and the manager. A simple order took ages to be served. Dinner was a buffet that was slightly overpriced and they had no option for a la carte either. They were even out of normal water and gave us the excuse that the water tank hadn't arrived that day!! People were forced to purchase packaged water at a price of Rs.75 for a litre!! The complimentary breakfast had limited quantity food with respect to the number of guests staying there and they were even hesitant to get more food until the matter escalated to the manager. Overall, it doesn't really live up to the Sterling name and price!! Edit: We received a call from the hospitality manager in just a couple of hours after posting this review. I appreciate the quick response of the team and their assurance on fixing things related to this concern at the earliest. I look forward to a better experience in my future stays!

Just an average place with below average service . Not happy with the room cleaning / essential supplies . Have to ask them multiple times to get things. Not worthy for the price and brand . Definitely not recommendable for family stay .

Pathetic experience... I never expected that such a star restaurant would do this... Ambience and hospitality is good and offcourse for the money we thats least expected.. but food.. they make you pay 2time breakfast which is 750per head mandatory and no buffet.. you can order from the menu they will ensure you don't order more than 500rs while I had 1500 for 2 people... I had ordered for sweetcorn and manchow soup... The staff gave me mushroom soup in both cups and thought he fooled me ... Even to get warm water they made me wait for 30mins.. at least in spiritual place like this... I expected they will not loot like this but with food and restaurant had a very bad experience... Since I had already paid 3000 for 2times food... I had no option to eat out and they make you feel like you have gone in free of cost membership.. there is a huge money paid for membership - respect that... Had the worst experience with restaurant.

A Pleasant Stay with a Few Surprises at Sterling Arunai Anantha My family and I recently enjoyed a two-day retreat at Sterling Arunai Anantha in Tiruvannamalai, and we're happy to share our thoughts on this unique destination. While it's undeniably a pleasant place to stay and one of the better options in Tiruvannamalai, it's essential to note that it may not fully align with the Sterling brand. Right from the start, we were welcomed by the grandeur of the property. It's undeniably large, spacious, and impeccably maintained, creating a serene and relaxing atmosphere. The distance from town provides a peaceful escape, yet the resort is close enough to town to make exploration easy, thanks to auto rickshaws readily available. One of the highlights of our stay was the incredibly hospitable staff. Ms. Vendha at the front desk and Mr. Saravanan, the manager, set the tone for our visit with their courteous and accommodating service. Sharan and Abdul, the rest of the staff, also left a positive impression with their warmth and attentiveness, ensuring our every need was met. While the Sterling name led us to this property, Sterling Arunai Anantha certainly possesses a distinct identity, with Sterling playing more of a background role. This isn't a negative, just a surprising contrast to our expectations. We would have welcomed a more prominent Sterling influence to make the brand connection more apparent. The on-site restaurant offered a limited menu. If you're a food enthusiast seeking diverse options, you'll find several excellent dining choices in the immediate vicinity. In summary, Sterling Arunai Anantha offers a pleasant and peaceful stay in Tiruvannamalai. The vast, well-maintained property and the accommodating staff are undoubted strengths, earning it a 4 out of 5 rating. The only aspect that leaves room for improvement is the extent to which it lives up to the Sterling brand's reputation. While it might not fully meet Sterling's standards, it is a unique and appealing destination in its own right, and we thoroughly enjoyed our time there. It's definitely a place to consider for a relaxing getaway, even if it's a touch different from what you might expect from Sterling Resorts.

The room was very comfortable with all modern amenities. The hotel staff are super friendly and helpful. I will surely visit again.

If there was a rating less than one star, I would go for it. Had the worst experience of my life in this so called resort and checked out just within a few hours of checking in, in the middle of the night because this place is infested with bed bugs and mosquitoes. This was a 15 year old property which was recently renovated & taken over by the sterling group but don't just go by the looks of it, even though everything looks shiny and bright, the maintenance is pathetic which reflects in the swarm of mosquitoes which greet you when you enter your room. As soon as I opened the cupboard, I could see discarded undergarments and clothes, mostly of the previous guest strewn across, the maintenance team didn't even clean up the room properly. And as for the bed, the less said the better, I could clearly see many bed bugs and I immediately checked out as I didn't want to risk infecting myself & my clothes. The entire hotel is also headed currently by a brainless manager who has no idea about how to treat guests, he was arguing in the middle of the night about how bed bugs proliferate! Somebody also slipped right in front of me & the manager because the floor was wet and there was no wet floor sign in the reception! There are tons of better places to stay in Thiru, avoid Arunai Anantha at all costs if you value hygiene, safety and your health. Besides being overtly expensive for a city like Thiru, it really has pathetic maintenance.

Food is very good. Lacks proper communication in kitchen. They served 3 food items we had not ordered. We had to wait for the dish we ordered. One of the days breakfast was messed up. It was cold, they did not keep up what they said they would serve.
