Church with stunning and quaint architecture and peaceful surroundings. Lovely glass painting behind the altar. Melodious choir. First mass on Sunday is at 7 am and not 7.30 am as mentioned at the Church entrance. Second mass is at 8.30 am.
It is a beautiful church run by the Jesuits. It looks beautiful from outside and has a good ambience inside.
St. Xavier's Catholic Church is located on the corner of Gaffar Baig Street and St. Vincent Street, it is opposite Shivaji Market in Pune. One of the oldest churches in Pune. It is a welcome place to retreat for some peace and quiet. Parking can be a problem in this area.

Really an awesome experience while roaming this 19th century historical church. Calm and soothing experience. Specially on Christmas lighten beauty of church attract everyone. Photographs inside church revive the history and story of Christ. You can get to see some glimps of Maharashtrian + Christian culture. Must visit while in Pune. And along with historical and religious moments you can enjoy food in nearby khau-galli.
Good place to have peace of mind. Church is at very conjusted area. Ofcourse there are more beautiful churches in Pune than this, but this one Have historical value than others. Overall good one.
Old beautiful and spacious church
St. Xavier's has and always will have a special place in my heart. Being my parish for the last so many years (until recently) I know it'll always have a huge place in my heart. The people here are kind, humble, generous and like family. If you're ever pondering visiting/becoming a parishioner of this 150 + year-old church, go for it...you'll receive the Word of God alright, and the Lord will also ensure you meet wonderful people in this place His vineyard.
