One of the places which holds every Goans heart. The structure never fails too leave you stunned, after all these years. Will always find a peaceful energy around. When visiting do not forget to keep the respect of the place by not littering, or Loud sounds as its also a holy place.

This place has lot of things to explore like churches, museum, towers, etc. The church is beautiful, and have ancient structure. The tower is St. Augustine, which is also near, and I believe at the time of my visit, was in an excavation point. There is also museum, which contains many artifacts. A good place to know and see the history of Goa.

One of the oldest and most sacred churches of Goa. This church was constructed some 500 years ago and the Church is still in good condition. We could able to capture the body of St Xavier. This place has a beautiful surrounding views. This place is a must visit place in Goa which attracts lots of crowd. Nicely maintained and crowded always.

Old church good place to visit they have maintained very well and the st.xavier body is kept to see and the museum has a decent amount of collection and tells the history that's nice to see and overall a good place to visit with family and friends. Parking is available.

This church is one among my bucket list from childhood. Finally i got to see this grandeur, with amazing sculptures, stones, tiles etc.. and especially St. Francis Xavier's memoir inside the church. The photographs involving persons inside the church is banned. Its highly restricted to take selfies and person's photograph. The staffs are very helpful in all manners. Very sweet and polite. Also Guides are available to check throughout the church. Offcourse they want to be paid. Lovely place to visit. Serene, came and tranquility moves the place. If u visit Goa u ought to visit St. Francis Xavier church. This place is love.

It is the holiest place that i've ever visited. I read about it in 6th standard in my history book. My father made it true. We have to visit saint francis xavier cathedral once in life, i am sure you all will feel wonderful bliss over there.

Construction work on the church began in 1594. The church was consecrated in May 1605 by the archbishop, Dom Fr. Aleixo de Menezes. This world heritage monument has emerged as a landmark in the history of Christianity. It contains the body of St. Francis Xavier, a very close friend of St. Ignatius Loyola with whom he founded the Society of Jesus (the Jesuits). Francis Xavier died on Sancian Island, Chuandao (Chuan Dao Zhen ), Taishan while en route to continental China on (3 December 1552).
