Wonderful place to visit ..just that it's center of the town, so crowded roads too much traffic in town ...but worth visiting his birthplace very calm, peaceful. Sometimes it's closed so enquire before going, also there is a cell number on board, you can call him and he will open it for you .... well maintained

No words to express that can capture what I feel about being in this place. It is ecelctic and surreal experience and at the risk of sounding outlandish, I tell you that it is highly energising place, and it looks like Gurudev Sri Sri Ravi Shankar is Present in every inch here. Nice caretakers who opened the place for his at their lunch time and made us feel so welcome (a feature with any Art of Living person/place), If you don't believe whatever is reviewed here, just get there at the earliest and thank me later. Tucked inside the quaint , serene Papanasam is the divine home that witnessed the birth of HH Sri Sri Ravishankar-ji, the globally renowned spiritual leader. We arrived a bit early in the morning (0700am), but the watchman who stays right opposite came quickly with the key and let us inside. One could experience a profound feeling of peace and happiness as you step inside the cute little home with the traditional courtyard in the middle.

His Holiness Sri Sri Ravi Shankar's birth place at Papanasam is a must see place in Tanjore area when you visit for temples. His home is well maintained and super clean. I felt a great sense of happiness, contentment while I was there an hour in his house. I am happy that he opened his house for visitors, devotees to visit, meditate, and rejoice in his traditional build house. A special feature that I liked in his house is that one can see the Temple Tower Peak (Gopura Dharsan) of both - Main Deity and also the entrance of the Siva Temple just from entrance of the house. No wonder Guru Dev is destined to bring transformation to masses from his very birth.
