This is such a calm place to spend any time of the day in. Evenings are even beautiful and serene There's something about this temple. The temple staff is very friendly and explains the significance and power of the each diety inside the temple. Photography is not allowed inside the sanctum. Outside is very nice to click pictures and sit for sometime peacefully like it is meant to be. They offer prasada(holy food) as well. Tap and toilet is outside the temple. Although there is a well inside the temple premises, water is not portable.

The Saumya Keshava temple is situated in the town of Nagamangala, Mandya district. The temple is three shrined (trikutachala), has a garbhagriha (sanctum), and a vestibule (antarala) that connects the sanctum to a closed mantapa (inner hall, navaranga) which opens into a large pillared gathering hall (mahamantapa). The Saumya Keshava Temple was built by the Hoysala kings in the 12th century. During the Veer Ballala II, Nagramangala flourished as an agrahara, a place for Hindu religious studies.

Beautiful Hoysala temple in Trikuta style. Rare idols of Krishna-Rukmini-Satyabhama. Keshava idol in Soumya mode (Chakra and gada in left hand) is eye-catching.

This temple is one of the ancient temples. It gives us great pleasure to visit, and get to see the architecture. The architecture of this temple represents the Hosyala's. One of the majestic and magnificent temples. This temple is true to its word. The place around the temples are well maintained and it is also cleaned. The staffs are very friendly and also helpful. Once when you visit this temple you can feel some positive vibes yourself.
