I recently visited the Kukkuteswara Swamy temple in Pithapuram, Andhra Pradesh, and it left me mesmerized by its divine ambiance and spiritual significance. This Lord Shiva temple is a true gem, offering a unique experience that resonates with peace and devotion. As I entered the temple premises, I was greeted by a serene atmosphere that seemed to transport me to a realm of tranquility. The highlight of my visit was undoubtedly the sacred water pool inside the temple. This pool holds immense spiritual significance and is believed to possess healing properties. The moment I approached the pool, a sense of purity and reverence washed over me. I was in awe of the sanctity and serenity that surrounded this sacred body of water. Devotees immersed themselves in the holy waters, seeking blessings and purification. my visit to the Kukkuteswara Swamy temple was an unforgettable journey into spirituality. The sacred water pool and the divine energy within the temple left an indelible impression on my soul. I am grateful for the opportunity to have experienced the divine blessings and the tranquility that this temple offers.

It is pada gaya so pinda pradana is famous. Here gaya sura pada and Lord Siva foots are there. Here dattatriya temple famous. In temple complex puruhutika devi 10 Shakti peet also we can see.

This temple is famous for Puruhuthika Shaktipeetam and Lord shiva as Kukkuteshwara swamy. It is also called as Pada Gaya skhetram as Gayasura foot fallen in the pool near temple. And this is the place where Datthatreya swamy is born. It is 30kms far from Annavaram Sri Veera Venkata Satyanarayana Swamy temple. We can reach their through cab, auto, train or bus from Annavaram. We visited in the morning hours at 6 am, no crowd was their and we performed Abishekam for Dattatrya swamy their, the ticket price for abhishekam was Rs. 50/- but they will assign one pujari for abhishekam and we have to give him Rs. 500 or more as per their demand. Here Dattatraya swamy was so powerful and we can tie mudupu their and after fulfilling our wish, we have to perform abhishekam.

A place where you can cover many temples in one place. Along with kukkuteswara Swamy , Goddess Puruhutika devi temple ( One of the Shakthi Peet) is also there. Along with these things before entering the temple you can see a water pond which is well maintained by the temple authority, you can rest by sitting near the pond. Very good place to add into your list of places to visit.

This place is one of the most secrade shaktipitham. Purohits at the temple explained importance of the temple and performed puja with utmost devotion. Darshanam gives calm and peaceful feeling. Must visit if visiting Pithapuram.
