Without doubt Kandavilas serves the best biryanis is Salem. Apart from the biryani and their signature "chicken leg roast", they serve the best non-veg breakfast in Salem.

The food taste is good but the quantity of the all kind of foods including side dishes are not worth quantity for the cost. The restaurant doesn't have any online money transfer or card payment. We three people eat 1 mutton biriyani, 2 mutton fry, and 2 meals and it costs 850 rupees. But again we eat in another restaurant since very less quantity they served.

The taste of the foods are very authentic and homemade-ish style. Especially their Khozli roast(8am-11am or 12.30pm) is par excellence you have to definitely try it. And their biryani is also good but for the price it could have been more quantity. They always use only Naattu khozli don't you even thik abt Broiler chicken . Overall their prices are likely high but you know its for the quality and traditional cooking. The hotel's timing are Morn 7am-10.30am ___ Aftnoon 11am-2.30pm.

if you want a briyani that has very little spiciness, that tastes good, just like prepared at home, then this is the place for you........ a big no for poultry farm chickens. country chicken, mutton, quail, pigeon everything tastes nice and feels light in your tummy.

This hotel is the landmark of this area called Gugai . It's the best place for authentic non veg food . They do not operate regularly but mostly open on weekends I guess. The place ll be little congested . Must try is their parotta , briyani and mutton chukka . You ll definitely love this hotel

Mutton briyani is typical home made briyani. We booked our plates beforehand by phone as it gets over . They had briyani and chicken fry packed thinking it was a takeaway. We had our lunch there. Even vegetarian sambar and sabji and rasam are very tasty. Curd is thick with pickle too. Really worth the cost.

Traditional Non Vegetarian Salem Style Food... Ambience is still outdated and looks clumsy... Good food though...

Great Non-Veg food! Unique taste! Ordered - Egg Briyani, Kadai Roast and Chicken Sukka. All are excellent and the gravies are fantastic!
