Adjacent to this mission is a heritage museum in the vast grounds which is the first and only museum in West Bengal, India and even in the world where all the life stories of Sri Chaitanya Mahaprabhu are beautifully recorded through tapestry. Now let me tell you how to come to this mission, if you come by metro, then get down at Sobhabazar metro station, go through gate number 2 or 3 (the front gate of Maharaja Manindra College) and come out on the opposite side and go to Girish Avenue, walk a little to the right and you will be right opposite to Girish Manch. Along the lane is this traditional museum. This museum is open from 10 am to 12 pm and from 3 pm to 7 pm|The entrance fee of this museum is 50 rupees and this museum has a sound and light exhibition which has an entrance fee of 30 rupees.

An excellent representation of the lifestyle and teachings of Chaitanya Mahaprabhu. This building has four floors and the interior is fully air conditioned. If you have bhakti and believe in Gourango prabhu, you should visit this museum. This is the largest Chaitanya museum. The ticket price is 50Rs. There are multiple light and sound shows inside. An additional ticket of 30Rs is required for a movie show of 20mins. Parking space is there but the alley towards the museum is narrow. In the evening the timing is from 15:00 to 19:00. There are free guides inside who explain the leelas if you haven't read Chaitanya Charitamrita already. Photography is prohibited inside.

Very interactive place. They give you a personal guide to make you understand the concepts better. There is a place to meditate. My favourite was sankirtan, where you have to dance seeing yourselves in the camera. Visit was worth it

It also has a library with rich collection of important and rare Vaishnava texts along with an auditorium to hold discussion, seminars and cultural programmes. The museum aims to establish itself as a centre of learning, contributing to the Vaishnava culture, post Chaitanya era art and culture, thus taking forward Mahaprabhu's cause into the coming years and decades.

Very well organised, guided and informative museum on the life and work of Sri Chaitanya Mahaprabhu and history of Gauria Math, the pioneers of ISKON.

A unique offbeat place to visit to know the life of Sri Chaitanya Mahaprabhu. There's an interactive Kirtan session there, and instruments you can play(especially if in a group).
