Sri Bedi Anjaneya Swamy Temple - Hindu temple in Tirupati - Chittoor, India

The temple is located just opposit to Tirumala temple and is in a walkable distance from the temple. The statue of Anjaneya is good. Not a crowded place. People conduct Pooja and arati there and submit the coconut. Jai Hanuman.

At a distance of 1 Kms from Tirumala Bus Station, Sri Bedi Anjaneyaswami Temple dedicated to Lord Hanuman is located on Sannidhi Street, opposite to the main temple. In the Vaishnavite tradition, it is customary to have either Garuda or Anjaneya opposite the main temple. The idol of Sri Anjaneya here is shown with its hands folded in supplication (the Anjali pose). Sri Anjenaya is a devotee of Sri Rama, just as Garuda is of Sri Maha Vishnu. Abhishekam is performed every Sunday and special offerings are made on Hanuman Jayanti. Timings: Morning: 6AM to Eveming 9PM .

If you have visited Tirumala then you must have noticed a Hanuman statue on your return to Tirupathi. You will get this to your right side after almost half way. And it's believed that if you wish for something and tie a bell or a lock , wish will come true. Hence the name Sri Bedi Anjaneya Swamy. You can even sit there and relax for sometime. What you see in pictures is only the temple , there is lot more space than this. There is no need to take ticket or wait in queue , you can directly go in . I loved the atmosphere there and the rituals.

Sri Bedi(Cuffs) Anjaneya Swamy Temple is opposite to the Main Tirumala Temple. According to the legend, Lord Hanuman in his youthful age wanted to leave Tirumala, in search of a camel. This forced his mother Anjana Devi to tie his hands with cuffs and order him to stay in that place till she returned. However, it is believed that Anjana Devi stayed back in Akasa Ganga area and never returned to this place. Hence, the icon of Lord Hanuman in this temple will be seen in a unique form where both his hands were handcuffed ("Bedi-Cuffs"). Temple Timings: Every day from 5:30 AM to 9 PM.
