Sood's Himalayan Vista - Hotel in Kalimpong - Kalimpong, India

I stayed at this hotel for one night ( nov 2023). I had planned to stay longer but considering the price and the services offered, I left the next day. I paid 5000 inr for 1 night. Normally the price for this type of room is 7500 inr but they gave me a discount ! Positive points - The view of the Kanchenjunga from the room balcony ( I had a premium room with balcony) - The food, breakfast (included) was good. Negative points - The room (201) is modern, the parquet is nice, the mattress is good.... But the room, especially the front door and bathroom are not well soundproofed and you can hear people chatting outside. The wifi didn't work. maybe it was a problem unrelated to the hotel but at the time of check in, the manager should have said so. Just some soap and a kettle. For the price, at least a few toiletries are to be expected. - Management : at check-in I asked if the hotel accepted international credit cards. I was told yes. At check-out, the manager tried my card and when it didn't work, he asked me if I had a national card ! ! I had to go to the nearest Atm to get cash, a 20-minute walk away. The manager could have offered to take me there. Not even that little bit of attention. It took me 40 minutes to walk there and back. For all these reasons, which I explained to the manager, I strongly advise against staying at this hotel. My room normally costs 7500 inr per night. It's worth no more than 3000 inr. Please, manager or owner, don't reply to my review saying you are sorry and you will improve all the points, i will not believe you. This hotel is not well managed, that's all.

Property is good but needs a lot of improvement and maintenance. Room service was good. Buffet breakfast is worse with very little options. Almost all the items were cold. Some items in the restaurant were over priced and quality not so good. Restaurant services worse needs a lot of improvement. Well located and great views from hotel premises.

Stayed with family for two nights recently... Awesome experience, right from check-in to check out. Special mention is required about the quality of food.. Breakfast and dinner.. Very good spread and tasty.... First day, we had lunch at this hotel which was also delicious with very reasonably priced.... We were accommodated in a mountain view room (A. 1) which provided eye catching view of mountain, with nestling houses, with occasional mist, a memory we will not forget..... All the staff were so courteous and helpful.... Overall, a very good experience at a hotel in a hill station with reasonable tariff...

On prime location with beautiful property/premises. Well maintained. Specious airy rooms. Courtious amd polite staff. Excellant service from check in to check out. Food quality. Great hospitality. Highly recommendable.

The stay here was amazing. Totally worth the money, with great food and amazing views. Staffs and manager here were very friendly and helpful. This is also a pet friendly hotel, which is a bonus for those who miss traveling with their pets.

Last week I had a 2 Day Stay at this Beautiful property in the unexplored city of Kalimpong and I must say it was a wonderful experience. The room I stayed in was spacious and beautiful, with all the necessary amenities for a comfortable stay. The view from my window was breathtaking, offering a panoramic view of the city and its surrounding hills. The landscape was truly beautiful. The hotel staff were exceptional, providing top-notch service. They were Professional, Friendly, Courteous, and always ready to assist with any requests we had. The restaurant staff were also fantastic, serving delicious food that exceeded my expectations. Every meal was a delight, with a variety of options to choose from, and the presentation was lovely. The hotel's garden and sitting area were beautiful. . The garden was well-manicured and provided a peaceful and serene atmosphere to relax and unwind. The sitting area was comfortable and had plenty of seating, making it a perfect spot for photography and to enjoy the beautiful landscape and scenery around the hotel. Overall, I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a comfortable and relaxing stay in Kalimpong. The beautiful, spacious room, breathtaking view, excellent staff, delicious food, and lovely garden and sitting area all made for a truly unforgettable experience.

Rooms are good, bathrooms are clean but could have had better fittings. View from window is nice. Complimentary breakfast buffet was adequate. Location is excellent. On main road but also excellent views.
