Who could have ever imagined that the best tasting South Indian coffee could be made with the coffee beans from Shillong. For me it was a revelation. The wonderful folks at the Shillong Chamber Choir gifted me the finest coffee beans from Shillong, "Smoky Falls Tribe Coffee". I was not hopeful. South Indian filter coffee made from beans grown in Meghalaya ? I had little expectation. But I became a believer, the coffee is pure magic, true connoisseurs of the South Indian Filter coffee need to look no further. Taste, aroma and strength - this has it all and with no additives like Chicory it is pure coffee at its best. On our subsequent visit to Shillong, I requested to be taken to meet the folks behind this ambrosia of a drink. Their hospitality was as genuine and warm as the coffee, they gave us a tour of the facility and gave a taste of the finest coffee I have ever had. I now wake up to the aroma of filter coffee made from beans grown in Cherrapunji, Meghalaya.
