Sinquerim Fort View Point in Goa is a hidden gem offering captivating vistas of the Arabian Sea. This scenic spot marries natural beauty with historical intrigue. Perched atop a historic fort, it provides a serene escape from bustling beach crowds. The panoramic views of the azure waters and coastline are breathtaking, especially during sunset. Whether you're a history buff or simply seeking tranquility amidst nature's splendor, Sinquerim Fort View Point delivers a memorable experience. It's a must-visit destination in Goa, combining history, natural beauty, and tranquility in one enchanting package.
Lovely spot to watch the sun set. It gets a little crowded, but still nice. Note: The trail is closed, so if you are hoping to hike south along the coast, you aren't allowed. I was told by locals that it is closed because it's dangerous (history of criminals that have harmed tourists on the trails). There was a park ranger (or police?) there when I went that blew his whistle at people. On the walk to it, there are lots of vendors selling snacks, etc. and there are steps that go down to the beach to access the ocean.
This is truly a recommended destination for nature lovers. The sunset experience is incredibly smooth and mesmerizing. You can easily spend hours watching the waves of the Arabian Sea hitting against the coastline.
Lovely views and clean beach. Photographers paradise. Though was busy during weekends. Eateries around were affordable and had tasty bada pav too on the way to lower Agauda fort.
Nice place to visit but finding a parking space would be difficult.
Some parts of this fort is currently under restoration. No entrance fee for visitors, but they will charge you around Rs50 for vehicle parking which is truly dead charge. You can get eatables near the entrance gate. Walk through the fort area at first and later you can step in to the beach part is a better plan.
This is one of the best places to witness sunset and the crowd is also comparatively less. From the parking it is just 5 min walk. First you can visit the sinquerim beach and then to this view point. There are lot many food stall at the entry gate. The view here is just fantastic. If you are wearing light colour cloths, then don't stick to fort walls.
This is Sinquerim Fort aka Lower Aguada Fort. Only ruins of the fort are remaining currently. It is a good place for clicking photos with ocean and fort ruins in the backdrop. You can see the stretch of beaches from Sinquerim to Candolim to Calangute to right up till Baga beach from here. There is another view point of this fort a little ahead about 150m. You can walk to that point.
