Shri Yoganarasimha Swamy Temple - Hindu temple in Melukote, Kadalagere - Mandya, India

Old and beautiful temple, remeber if going by car then you can reach mid way of the hill (limited car parking here), steep steps won't recommend elderly people and people with knee problem to climb. Be careful with the monkeys anything edible/drinkable (including soft drink bottles) will be taken away by then. Nice view from the top. Recommend to go in the morning.

Melkote Narasimha temple dedicated to Lord Yoga Narasimha stands atop a hill with around 400steps . Steps are bit steep and maybe difficult to climb for elderly people. If you want to skip few steps ,There is a road which reaches half way . After which there might be another 200+ steps to climb. View from the top is marvellous. Timing 9.30am to 1.30pm and 5.30pm to 8pm. There are lot of mischievous monkeys and goats be aware of your bags . Do not carry any eatery's.

Yoga Narasimha Temple is located in Melkote. From Pandavapura to Melkote, around 25-30 km and takes 1 hour. Darshana is only available in the morning for a few hours. It was a great experience to climb the stairs to visit the temple. calm and peaceful place. There is a main temple on top of the hill. Very clean and well-maintained place.

Wonderful. Steps around 221 . Seniors 60+ upto 75 can manage. Railings both sides. Can halt and and climb Very picturesque. Must see

Post the dip in Kalyani below - you need to walk up the steps to this temple. There are around 250 odd steps to reach the top. It is a bit odd steps and as such is tricky for older people. Irrespective, overall it is tricky to walk up and down these stairs!! Again you will get enough opportunities to take pictures and videos! You get a very good view and soak in the enormity of the Kalyani below. You also get to see the whole temple town from here. It was not crowded and we could finish the darshan fast. Please be aware of the monkeys here - they are everywhere and keep attacking people with bags or plastic covers. Great views from here - soak in the whole temple town from here

Historic centuries old temple, well maintained and looks very special. Must visit. Narasimha swamy looks very special. Had to climb 50steps after last stop of vehicle. You can Sit outside after darshanam, and enjoy the view with cool breeze for sometime.
