My experience here was rather grim. Wanted to try this place for their Malaysian fare. The place was full when we went in. Enquired for dining inside but response was NO with a grin n few words which was unwelcoming. Settled in outdoor seating and ordered food. Tom yam soup felt more like heated chili water with veggies. I personally liked rice paper rolls but no one else. Mee goreng was decent but felt it was little on sweeter side. Curry laksa was the most deceiving dish. It didn't feel anywhere near a laksa as it'll be made with coconut milk. This was some kinda weird curry which had noodles and veggies. It would've went well with chapati I guess - kidding. We ordered paniyaram and dosa which were pretty decent. The star of meal were cold milo and rose milk. Both drinks were very well made with right amount of sweetness. I wouldn't recommend the place if one's wishing to try Malaysian food.

Too costly for the quantity they provide. Undoubtedly their food variety and taste were good, but the quantity is very less compared to other asian cuisines in the city. Also high priced for the quantity.

Outstanding food, so flavourful with no compromise on high quality ingredients and freshnes. Recipes are researched, perfected xnd executed with so much love and devotion by an all woman team. ( which explains both the love AND devotion!) One can expect the same good quality everytime! Shivanjali cafe is Coimbatore's best kept. secret. It is popular for it's Jain and vegan options that can be trusted. Also snacks that bring memories of what grandmothers made at home. The lime mint cooler, bean and nut salad , pad Thai, dimsum and Malaysian dishes are amazing. Even a hard core non vegetarian would change his mind about vegetarian food once he dines at Shivanjali cafe. Well worth a visit!

My go to place for a lite soothing food. Everything is like home made here. Try Soup and their spring rolls or Vietnamese paper rolls. Mixed vegetable stir fry is also good, try it with the sauce you prefer.

Not the best food I'd say. It's okay to try them out once. But that's about it. Oh btw it's completely vegetarian so that's a relief for all veg lovers. Now why just 3 stars. Because we ordered so much but only like 2-3 items. Firstly let's start with soups. We got tomato soup and sweet corn. They were super watery which means the flavor was also diluted. Didn't like them. The time we went they said they had only the chaat items and the Malaysian food available. No south indian items were available. That was first bummer. But it's okay, we resorted to trying something new. Trying the malay food. First comes the crispy fried baby corn. This was yummiest. It was served with 3 different sauces which were super delicious. Then comes pasta salad which was bad. The pasta was undercooked and there was legit no seasoning, no taste in the salad dressing. For main course we ordered Mee Goreng, Curry Laksa and Nasi Ullam. Mee Goreng was definitely the star of the meal. It was a stir fried noodles with a spot on flavor profile. Bingo on that. Nasi Ullam had a super bitter after taste because of the herbs used in excess. Curry Laksa was good. Then comes the banana pancakes. They tasted very weird and looked nothing like the image shared on menu. Fruit salad with icecream too was very mediocre. It was like the fruits were just put together without two thoughts. So yeah, overall, some Malay items were really good and the service was good too. But some things didn't work well and overshadowed the good things easily.

Visited Shivanjali cafe after 6years. Travelled 300kms to have food from this cafe. Quality and taste remain the same. Loved everything we ordered.. my friends were too happy after having the food.. the hot and cold icecream was a perfect desert in the end.. Vietnamese pepper spring role was very tasty...everyone loved it.
