Shikhar Home Stay - Home Stay in Shimla - Shimla, India

I stayed at Shikhar Home Stay during my vacation at Shimla. It was wonderful experience staying in the Shikhar Home Stay. It is located right at the Mall Road and therefore shopping market, restaurants and other attractions like 'The Ridge', Kali Bari Temple are near. Our room had a big window-wall facing Shimla lift parking site and it was awesome view. There no food service except tea and hot water however you can find lot of food options available around. Staff was polite and helpful. Room service was quick. Hotel owner met us during our check out for a chat and he was very humble and nice person. I would recommend Shikhar Home Stay for its location and comfort while you are in Shimla.

Shikhar Home Stay is just near Mall road and Christ Church, it is the cheap and best home stay. Staffs are so gentle and helpful, rooms are so clean and well maintained , restroom is well maintained and hygiene. Hot water is available and help desk is often ready to help you. I'm a solo traveler all the from Tamil Nadu my experience was totally good, they also give concession and I'm totally satisfied with them..

A very comfy homestay with an ideal location just few meters away from the Mall Road. The rooms are quite spacious and perfectly neat and clean. The best part is that all the popular eateries are just a few steps away from this property. The owner and the staff are very nice and helpful. It is indeed one of the best places that is available under a great budget. Had an amazing experience !!!

If you are looking for a nice room (only) almost on mall road, this is the right one. Don't expect anything like hotel, it's a homestay. Good staff, nice location. Not recommended for senior citizens as there are deep stairs. You get tea/coffee and breakfast from outside. Lunch and dinner you have to take outside, number of restaurants available within 100 meters. Had good discussion with owner and he guided us very well for our two days stay.

The rooms were clean, very comfortable, the Owner and staff were amazing. They went over and beyond to help make our stay enjoyable. The owners were so affable and friendly. My wife and daughters enjoyed the place, fresh snowfall was topping on the cake in our trip. It's located very near to Mall Road and lower bazar. I highly recommend this hotel to anyone visiting here.

The rooms were very well maintained, making you feel homely and safe. The environment at the stay was comfortable. The staff was friendly, helpful and very cooperative. We were a family of four and all the family members likes the stay. The location is right at the heart of Shimla, at Lower bazaar, accessible to all kinds of eateries. Right below the Mall road. The owners Mr. Sood was very helpful. The tariff was nominal and not over charging for the kind of location they are at.

Stayed in a room with valley view. Room and washroom was very clean and beautiful. Stairs are very steep here so not seniors citizens friendly . Room rate : INR 1500 per night during September end .

About hotel, great location for Mall road lovers as it's the best place to stay in Shimla. About rooms, comfortable stay. We got terrace rooms. Rooms were neat and clean. Spacious enough. Terrace view is ok as it has water tanks and monkey presence is regular so be cautious if you want to go outside. But still the terrace rooms are better as compared to others. Kamal as the caretaker took good care of us. He is always available for any needs and advise. Overall good stay and can be booked again.
