Shenbaga Hotel & Convention Centre - Hotel in Puducherry - Pondicherry, India

Stayed at this hotel for 4 days. Located at heart of the city. All the major attractions are near by. Room was spacious enough, very neat. Huge parking space. Lot of choices in complimentary breakfast. Very good staff too. Did not have any issues and enjoyed the stay.

Spent 6 nights with my family. Good location and clean but not at all a 4 stars hotel standing : Noisy, very basic breakfast and very basic gym room (not in good conditions.) Will not come back again. Checked out earlier than scheduled. Poor VFM.

Very nice hotel in prime location of Pondicherry. Property is little old, but maintained well. Some of things inside room like intercom, door lock had issues, but service was good. They repaired the items immediately after complaint. Food is decent.

Stayed here for 1 night with family. They have a big parking, and the check-in process was hassle-free. The hotel is centrally located with all tourisy places nearby. The rooms are below average, and it seems like they haven't changed the furnishings since the place was built. The rooms desperately need new furnishings. The bathroom, although clean, were old, and the fittings were turning black. The windows had stains on them, and the curtains did not seem clean to me. The breakfast buffet had a good spread and tasted good. We also had a few other meals at the cafe and it tasted very well. All in all, it is a very average place that desperately needs a modern makeover of the rooms. Wouldn't stay here unless this happens.

During my recent stay, I encountered a disappointing experience where I was provided with a room that had fewer facilities than the one I had booked two months in advance. What was even more disheartening was the lackluster service I received at the front desk. I believe in the importance of being genuine to customers and providing them with the room they booked. It was disheartening to find that the front desk initially did not want to accommodate my request for the room I had originally booked. It was only after I engaged with the booking agent that my room was replaced as per my reservation. This experience left me quite unsatisfied, and I cannot recommend this establishment based on this experience.

Being in prime location this is pathetic property due to service and maintenance Management better' to lease this to bigger brands like Radisson Food and service staff are poorly trained. Also chef needs to be replaced.. Nothing new same old 20-30 years of service lo

Consider Alternatives: Considering the given price point, it's advisable to explore slightly pricier options like Accord, Residency Towers, or even Sunway Manor for a more satisfying stay
