Shambhu Chandra Chatterjee (Sadhur) Ghat - Place of worship in Mirpur - Hooghly, India

This is one of the cleanest ghats in Konnagar. It has open space which makes it pretty windy. Also, the ghat has proper seating areas. It also has parking space for cycles and bikes. There are folks who come with guitars and sing songs. This makes the ghat a uniquely cultured area.

Located beside Holy Ganga this is one of the most popular visiting places of the local people and the morning walkers. It is also known for the old crematorium. Most of the immersions of all idols on all occasions are organized here under expert supervision. The old structure was almost in a ruin when the Ghat was reconstructed and beautified. The morning sunrise is an impressive view from here.

Since it is beside one of the famous ghat in the Konnagar-Hugli belt, it looses a bit credibility yet it is one of the well maintained ghats on the bank of Hugli river. Seperate waste bins, covered siting space and has adaptibility for both ganges devotees and durga puja immersion parade. Conjoined with two old replicas of Baro mandir style temples on the left and a mandapa on the right. Maintained by a trust i guess

A good place to breathe in fresh air by side of Hooghly river,two temples on the approach road add up to the beauty, nice view of the opposite bank of the river.

This place is suitable for people who prefer spending time in less crowded places. This place is also attractive place for photographers who likes clicking sunrise and sunset.

The place is historical. And also have a good view. Fresh air of holy ganges gives a fresh breathe.
