Sea View Andaman - Hotel in Port Blair - South Andamans, India

Only location is good. The manager can make your stay hell. To better the experience they should get a better manager to handle the property. Manager creates more ruckus than other guests and then he blames it on his last times experience with bad guests. He thinks his place is outside India and has his own set of rules that you haven't heard anywhere else.

hotel is in excellent location, should be preferred mainly for solo travelers or which can walk/take any means like auto/taxi from market. In absolute secluded location with breathtaking view. Not have much food options inside hotel, have basic tea etc. but owner was saying they planning to setup full-fledged restraurant soon.

Sea View Andaman is rather a new property and is located very near to the shore. The best part about the hotel is its location, you get a clean broad view of the sea from your room window (if you opt for their super deluxe room). North Bay island and its famous lighthouse is clearly visible from the hotel. The hotel rooms are small but are kept clean and tidy. Hotel owner Mr. Salim is a cooperative guy and will help you ordering food from the nearby restaurants since the hotel doesn't have a fully operating restaurant as of now. You will get nice breakfast, but for lunch, dinner or snacks, you need to order from outside. The market, Rajiv Gandhi water sports complex and cellular jail are not very far from the hotel and you can take a stroll down the sea shore pavement to reach them. Few issues though, the hotel has some privacy concerns as there are no individual balconies in the rooms. Even if you take their super deluxe room, the windows are located right on the common gallery and passers-by/other guests will keep showing on your windows which I found a little irritating. The hotel staff, though very cooperative and friendly, needs to be trained to be more professional; like while arriving at a room for any service, they should not peek through the window to declare their presence but use the doorbell provided for the purpose. Packaged drinking water is available only on paid basis and they only provide RO filled bottles as room service. WiFi is available but has intermittent connectivity. Overall, it was a nice stay and there's definitely room for improvement.

The room is spacious and decent looking. The view of the sea from the hotel window is excellent. The place is very near to the cellular jail and the other jetties. However, they say free breakfast and dont serve it until 8:30 AM which is check out time. The quality of the lunch is also average

Good ambience. sitting in the balcony with facing the sea , the mornings and night were amazing . All the threr days we had to leave for sightseeing at early morning before 6 and they were kind enough to give us bread toast packed in the previous night itself on our request. Thank you team. Rooms and bathroom are neat and spacious . ideal for family. only difgicuilty is little distance from main junction , but that too doesnt mater as the roads are neat and safe and the walkway to hotel is through the side of sea. Walking on the pathway watching the sea, hearing the sound of waves and feeling the cool breze , sometimes getting brizxled by sea water was a enjoyable one.

Most of us write reviews on the location, amenities provided, the size of the rooms, food, service and the behavior of the staff which I found to be excellent. The sea view rooms are well appointed with all amenities that a traveler would want. The location is excellent with view of the light house in North Bay and the wide open sea. You can sit all day in the balcony and watch the ships and fishing vessels entering and leaving the harbor. But what sets Sea View Andaman apart from the other hotels is the service that was extended to us during our stay. The owner, Mr. Salim Khan is an excellent host and I was touched by the gesture that he showed us when my dad fell ill. He not only took us to the doctor in his own car but stayed with us all throughout. He took care of all that we requested during our stay with a smile. Thank You Mr. Khan for making our stay such a lovely experience.

Free breakfast and WiFi is promised, however, you have to ask to turn on the router everytime. Free breakfast includes literally only 4 pieces of bread along with the single variety of egg preparation with either tea or coffee. View is undoubtedly good as its sea facing, however, it's a small hotel, so this is the view only if you have booked the sea facing 5 rooms. Owner of the hotel is a gem person. He actually helps at a personal level to take care of the guests.

The owner/ manager of this hotel is true gentleman, he makes sure the guest feel truly like stay at home. If you are travelling with kids the manager insure that you are able to get baby food etc. Very cooperative and friendly staff. In our 4 day stay at portblair the manager(Mr Saleem) became good friend of mine. The complimentary breakfast was singleton but good. For Dinner and lunch you have to look for some restaurants which are nearby. The view from hotel is amazing. Thank you soo much Mr Saleem, see u soon.
