Comming from South India mesmerized by seeing a state university looks that greeeeen campus. Walking on the way form guest house to department will give you a feel that you are in a reserved forest and trucking. Older university but maintenance is too good. Visited for a conference feeling like I should have studied here.

It's quite a big campus. Every department have seperate building. The main building is right now converted into a museum.

The building is designed by james Trubshawe, the magnificent edifice was built in Ganeshkhind, on the outskirts of what was then called Pune. I'm an engineer from SPPU. As compared to universities in Maharashtra & other than Maharashtra too, this University has its own brand. University has certified in various govt committees, basically University is good for the fame but there are lots of problems on ground level Such as various examination problems, degree certificate issues and so many concerns. From student point of view, if you have lots of patience, then & then only you can admit in this University or respective colleges. By the way, Pune University is fulfilled by nature, Do visit.
