A gem of a place for birding. I always see new species every time I visit. The path is well made for walking. Good time to visit would be on weekends early mornings.

A virtual oasis in the middle of Bellandur. This is more of a bird sanctuary than a properly designed walking path like some of the other lakes in Bangalore. It has three entrances, one from Bellandur side, another from Eco-world and a third from Sarjapur road. It's not very easily accessible. Better bring a scooter along! The walking path itself is not very well maintained and has a bit of a terrain to it. Some dredging work is also going on to prepare for the monsoon so a part of the lake has a dusty, sandy trail. Be ready to walk out with completely mud-laden footwear! Not many people come here for walks so it's much less crowded than the nearby located Kaikondrahalli lake, which has a much nicer walkway. Since it's away from the bustle of Bangalore traffic, you can still here the chirping of the birds early in the morning. The major attraction of this place is the abundance of bird population. Place draws a lot of amateur photographers as the diversity of water bird species found here is astounding. There are no benches to sit and no public toilets nearby as well. It's as rough as it gets. Still the best place to walk for true nature lovers.

Have been going to this place whenever I can on weekends. I go there by 6am, when the bird activity is about to start. Common birds found - wabblers, cormorants, darters, pelicans and ducks. You can find darters fishing here which is a great sight to see and photograph.

Start your day off on the right foot with a brisk walk around Lake Meadow. The tranquil setting and fresh air will leave you feeling energized and ready to tackle the day..

It's a good place for bird watching as well. You can spot various bird species such as barbet,drongo, parakeet, grey hornbill, jacana, white browed Bulbul, great cormorant, storks many more

This location is a very large, peaceful lake surrounded by trees and greenery, providing a beautiful view and a relaxing atmosphere. If you're a photographer, this location offers great opportunities to capture stunning shots of the lake and its surroundings, especially during sunrise. You can enjoy the peaceful sound of nature without any traffic noise. However, if you plan to jog early in the morning, you may feel a bit nervous as there are not many people around. The area is generally safe, but it's always a good idea to take basic safety precautions when you're out in a secluded location. By 6:30-7 am, a few regulars start to show up.
