Sati Radhika Prashanti Udyan (River Front Park) - Park in Guwahati - Kamrup, India

This park is in a perfect location besides the Brahmaputra River, and facing the famous Peacock island (locally known as Umananda Island). You can enjoy sitting here with your girlfriend/group of friends or whatever really! Cool breeze from the Brahmaputra river keeps blowing all day long and the sunset view is really amazing to see with your own eyes. I have been coming here since my college days and even now after nearly 15 odd years I love coming here and sit and recall fond memories. Entry fee is Rs. 20/- per person and bike parking costs Rs. 10/- extra. There are a lot of eateries/cafes/fast food nearby for you to eat and enjoy. Alfresco river cruise counter is around 50 metres away from this park. Guwahati Planetarium is very near and walking distance from this park. BEWARE: You will see couples getting all cheesy every now and then so visit with a free mind and as i would like to say JUDGE LESS LIVE AND LOVE MORE! Every grown man was once a young hunk and dated girls so take it in your stride and come to enjoy the scenery!

Good place to watch the Sunset and spend a perfect evening with your loved ones. The Umananda is visible from there, and Since it's in the bank of Brahmaputra the air feels good. And this place is calm. Not much annoying sound of city life. It's truly a calm place. They take a entry change of only 10 Rs per adult. I spent a very good time there, you must visit this place. Beautiful park along the bank of Brahmaputra river. Nice place for outing and hangout during a hot summer evening. This is a very Peaceful place and evening time is very calm and romantic.

Disappointing. Place is not mantained, trash and dirt everywhere. Half of the park is closed. Half of the park was destroyed for the flyover construction site. Basically you'll be looking at trash, a construction site, concrete bags and a little bit of river and trees.

i had been to this park only once with my hubby when we were in college which is when i found out he did not prefer sitting in parks. This old park has a huge canopy of trees and a long stretch that provides for a good walk. Also, it faces the Brahmaputra and is witness to it's swirling moods. During monsoons the place seems dampened but during summers it's a cool retreat.

It was full of Nibba Nibbies. Costs Rs 20 to enter and Rs 10 for parking two wheeler.

Beautiful although a little crowded. The views of brahmaputra was breathtaking. There's a entry fee of 20 rs per adult.

It is a good place for viewing the Brahmaputra flowing. Mostly it is a good place for couples and not for young kids and families. Ticket costs rs 10, two wheeler parking is also available. At every two steps there is sitting arrangements i.e benches. Well mostly it is like a corridor place straight in a line.
