Sarat Chandra Chattopadhyay Kuthi - Historical place in Deulti, Panitras - Howrah, India

Really like this place. Very well maintained and taken care of. This heritage property is a piece of history located very near to Kolkata in Deulti, Howrah. Do visit the place for a weekend visit whenever you can. There aren't any tickets for visiting the place, but I do recommend to donate some amount of money to caretakers for the brilliant job they are doing to keep the place visit worthy.

Very serene place. The house is kept very well maintained. No ticket charges you can pay the caretakers as per your wish. They will guide you to all the rooms and showcase the belongings of Sarat Chandra Chatterjee. You can sit on the barandah and watch the surroundings. The place is very quiet.

If you love Bengali culture then, you must visit this place. This house is located in the bank of river Rupnarayan . Famous Bengali novelist Sarat Chandra chattopadhyay has lived in this house for 12yrs . His belongings are still there. You will feel nostalgic here.

It was such a historical place Where we can see the house of Sarat Chandra Babu Inside the house we can see his used things like bed , pillow, stick, writing table and his home temple. The place was too much silent and peaceful.

It is a heritage site. Here you can see daily used things of Sarat Chandra chattopadhyay. The house is beautifully maintained and clean. You can enjoy the place and you can also enjoy the river beside the house. No entry tickets are there.

Being a literature lover, this place mesmerized me. Like the author this place is also simple but elegant. From Deulti station 10 min distance. Toto fare is 20 rs. There is no entry fee. Opening time 10 am to 12 pm. And 3 pm to 6 pm. The caretaker also guide everyone.. you can feel happiness here. Must visit

A beautiful weekend destination from Kolkata on the bank of Rupnarayan. One can really get the essence of renowned Bengali writer Sarat Chandra Chattopaadhyaay. Nostalgia is on it's fullest in every nook and corner of this house.
