Best peaceful place for picnic. Good to spend time in water. Amazing view, specialy the sun set.
Good Place for picnic. Water is clean and loads of space for conducting activities. Not much shade around, not many trees. And the roads could be improved for better reach.
Very secluded and clean. Clump of trees around flat ground convenient to sit, play, and cook. Kuju River flows quietly alongside. It's a rocky bank. Not much sand. Not safe for swimming. Approach road is a bit rough and bumpy. Better to use two wheeler or SUV with good ground clearance. Not many people know about this spot. Most people go to Sangam picnic spot which is a bit further from here.
Perfect spot for picnic and shallow water swimming. ideal for kids as water level in the illi gara is below knee during monsoon. During rainy season clouds over water looks mesmerizing and heavenly. A tourist shade is build near river to escape rain and sun.
Sangam picnic spot is located around 4-5 Km from Kokcho ,Tantnagar.It's a great place for picnic.It's a meeting point of Torlo and Kharkhai rivers and also act as a boundary between Jharkhand and Orissa. Roads are not smooth once you enter the village side from the main road. And don't go in water unless you have locals with you.Also carry your own stuffs as there isn't any shop nearby.
Located at the confluence of Kharkai River and local river (Torlo river), the Sangam Picnic spot is situated in Tantnagar block of West Singhbhum district at a distance of 20 km from Chaibasa town. Perfect picnic spot with fresh atmosphere to enjoy with family. Although, in the absence of sand mining, depth of water at this place is not more than 3 feet except few place, i advise all to not play in water unless you donn lifejacket or you have informed local volunteers(swimmers) to keep an eye on you. The plenty of sand and space in upper area is good for outdoor game like volleyball, badminton etc. This place has lots of opportunity for a photographer to shoot portrait, landscape photography. Plz don't pollute this place by throwing plastic, thermocol and any other garbage.
I liked this place very much. When we went there at that time there were no shops, so there was less dirt. This is a positive thing.
