As it is one of Eminent bird sanctuary of Uttar Pradesh, It is situated at Raebareli Near Salon Sub District. As I heard about this place and expected not found such things there. There is natural lake that is attracting. Some parks and birds statue are found road side. Way to bird sanctuary is totally damaged. But early morning visit can feel you better and inhealing in the lap of nature
This is a very good place for Birds lovers. The approach road is in very bad condition This Bird Sanctuary is Natural lake at Raibareli District
I was very excited to see it since it was added to Ramsar convention..but not everything meets your hope..
Road is not good..
Whole lake is covered with aquatic weeds..
Disgusting- people use to get fresh around water
Cleanliness was also not upto the mark
There were no migratory birds..people of villages around it kill birds in very large numbers..and sell them as it fetches them good price
I even once complained about it on UP CM portal..
I am not blaming anyone for all this because ultimately we are the reason we must take the responsibility of our environment and heritage
The site of world importance, currently at it's worst. But of course, it indeed is one of the best destinations in Raebareli.
" Bring some food for Birds and Dogs while visiting here. "
Pros :
>Conducive ecosystem for migratory birds.
>'Good to get your kids' place.
> At 'Birds Explanation Centre', the map demonstration is great and there's an amazing collection of books related to Birds, reptiles, etc.
>Availability of boats (good for bird watchers)
>Bird watching towers are available.
Cons :
> Bumpy roads to reach the sanctuary. Even inside the sanctuary, there were places without roads at all.
> Lazy Staff towards visitors. That one lady at 'Birds Explanation Centre', she wasn't good at what she has been assigned to do.
> No guide to tell you about what is sanctuary for, I mean 'The Birds'.
> High entry and vehicle parking charge. Rs30 for adult visitor and Rs100 for car parking.
> No canteen or anything else, but dustbins are available.

Bird sanctuary but no birds at all. Good place from view point, surrounded by lake. If want to come, come from picnic point of view and bring lunch, other playing stuff with you. Place does have children park with swings and sliders but no eateries at all. Ticket money Rs 30 each adult (parking extra) does not worth any penny.
DON'T VISIT IN SUMMERS AT ANY COST.
You can very well smell the corruption at various levels. Be it wastage of public money, quality and condition of sanctuary's infrastructure and misuse of government financial grant. Looks like the entire money is going into the personal bank accounts of the concerned govt personnels. No maintenance, no visitor service, no sanctuary staff (except at the gate for collecting fees), rottening ponds, large brazen lands not suitable for any ecosystem, broken and terrible roads. Each section of the sanctuary's infrastructure tells it's own tale how once a visionary project had been brought to dust by govt employees using corruption and more corruption.
I LOVE SAMSPUR BIRD SANCTUARY
Awesome place for visitor ,but need some improvement inside and outside the place ,like road which is in very bad condition ,no any bird found there ,no water in any tap for visitor there ,the ticket price and parking price was very high.plz improve it
