Had a wonderful experience at Salt & Pepper during our stay at Sea Shells, Port Blair.
Great hospitality from the management, staff is very courteous. We tried various cuisines during our stay and found the food and serving top notch.
From Indian cuisine to Chinese to Continental the food is awesome. Go for it.
This is one of the two restaurant at SeaShell, Port Blair, other one being Amaya. While Amaya is on roof top with live music and bar, Salt and Pepper is on -1 floor. The restaurant has a responsive staff and a calm ambience. As soon as I was seated, the waiter lit the candle on the table. However the food wasn't up to the expectation, while the rates are exorbitant. Overall, I would recommend trying different restaurants keeping this as a backup if you are staying at SeaShell, Marine Hill.
Lip smacking food, brilliant servers and comfortable environment.. Keep up the good work. Mr Kushal did an amazing job when suggesting chef's special daal bukhara.
After a delicious lunch that I had from Sea Shell Neil, I wanted to visit Sea Shell Port Blair. It was less than five minutes from where I stayed. The restaurant was empty when I dropped by around 7 p.m. The ambiance of the restaurant was calm and peaceful. The interiors were simple yet elegant. As soon as I was seated, the waiter lit the candle on the table. That set the right tone for my evening and meal. My order was for a Crispy Chili Baby Corn, Vegetable Sizzler, and Lemon Water. The Crispy Chili Baby Corn was indeed crispy with its texture, and it was the perfect start for the meal. It tasted good without any sauces or dips. A Sizzler is a complete meal by itself with fries, vegetables, rice along with a sauce or gravy. It does take time to prepare all the ingredients for it. The vegetables like the carrots, baby corn, cauliflower were crunchy, and the green peas were soft. The fries were crispy on the outside, and soft on the inside. Though I was finding it difficult to finish the whole Sizzler, I enjoyed every spoon of it. The sweet Lemon Water was refreshing after a long day, and it went well with my spicy meal. Their service was swift. Their staff was courteous throughout the service. The appetizer reached my table under 10 minutes, and the main course took around 15-20 minutes. Pricing of the dishes on their diverse menu is expensive. I'd recommend this restaurant to anyone who's looking for some delicious food in Port Blair.
This restaurant deserves 5 starts for the experience provided, they have luxurious appearance and food is really delicious.
They are part of Sea Shell hotel and are on the -1 floor from lobby area.
Price is bit costly but i would say reasonable for overall candlelight dinner experiences.
They can add bit more on breakfast side(like fruits and salads)
Out side view in day time is really good, one can see gander along with bit of ocean view when having food on window side.
Staff is really polite and helping.
Must visit if near by for delicious mouth watering delight for your appetite.
Hope you guys like it here as we did.
An amazing place to stay and enjoy. Ambience is very calm and pleasant. Staff id very gentle and attentive.
Food tastes very good and you have wide verity too .
The restaurant ambience is good. Service is a bit slow. For a restaurant situated on the water, sea food was stale and stinky. Our fish stank throughout the entire mealtime. The non-veg dishes ARE A DISAPPOINTMENT and would not recommend them. Your meats will be very tough and stale.
The portions are also ridiculously small for the sky high prices assigned to them. Would rather recommend dining locally and keep this as backup if you are staying at Sea Shell Hotel.
If you're in the mood for a dining experience that will test your patience and leave you feeling unsatisfied, then Salt & Pepper is the restaurant for you. Despite multiple requests for updates on the wait time, you'll find yourself twiddling your thumbs for an hour or more. This is especially frustrating when you consider that you were in a hurry and needed to catch a ferry.
When your food finally arrives, it's a far cry from what you expected. The egg biryani, which should have been a simple dish to prepare, was a letdown. And the salad? Well, let's just say that you'll be left wishing that the restaurant had bothered to invest in a few fresh vegetables.
The staff, who appear to have been up for days and running on nothing but caffeine, are slow and unenthusiastic. They seem to have no sense of urgency and provide service that can only be described as lackadaisical. Despite all this, the prices are reasonable, which just adds insult to injury.
In conclusion, if you're looking for a dining experience that will leave you feeling frustrated, unsatisfied, and longing for your own kitchen, then Salt & Pepper is the restaurant for you. But, if you value your time and expect quality food and service, you might want to look elsewhere."

They exceeded our expectations. We had ordered 2 cakes. One with Cocomelon theme and another with Aquatic theme. Both were perfect. Excellent taste. Highly recommended. Don't look anywhere else. Just order...
I loved this particular resturant very much. I astonished by there hospitality and the way they deal with there coustomer and their energy. Thankyou so much for nice dinner.
We decided to try it out after hearing recommendations from google and we weren't disappointed. All items were absolutely delicious. We're eager to return for some non-veg options soon. Excited for our next visit.
