Sajjangad Fort is close to Thosegar Waterfalls. The view from the fort is stunning, and you can see the nearby lake. It's a peaceful place with a small village inside, and there's a free stay option in the ashram.

Holy hindu place situated near satara. Good motorable road till temple parking. Visited in mansoon season. It was pleasant experience. Fog, rain, greenery, fresh air, nice stunning natural views...Awesome. Around 200 stairs from parking to temple. Fresh buttermilk, corns were for sale on the route. Lot of monkeys were seen playing on side. Visited around 12 pm. Samadhi mandir was closed for 1 hr from 12 pm to 1 pm although you can enter and wait. It's temple of lord HANUMAN. Got an opportunity to avail maha prasad. The hall is adjacent to samadhi mandir. You may have to wait for 20 mins to 40 mins in que on holidays. Timing is till 2 pm. They allow you for seva like serving food, water etc. Rich tradition "pNgt". Ladies and gents sections are different although all sit in a big single hall. It all starts with chanting "shrii raam jy raam jy jy raam" 108 times, till then sevekrii / volunteers serves you with fresh, tasty food items. Clean dishes with water glasses areserved first. We had steamed rice, curry, sproutes, one sweet and water. Every one is requested to avoid food waste, in respect for food. Enough food is served for everyone. Once done you have to carry your dish and glass to drop in respective containers. Facility is available for washing hands when you exit the hall. Pictorial biography of Samarth Ramdas swami is there in nearby hall. Clean, calm and holy ambience everywhere on the fort. Lodging is available at fair rates. Small market for devotees can be noticed while you reach to temple. Good facility of toilets and washrooms but lack of cleaning. Magnificent view of vally just outside of washrooms.

Phenomenal place with lots of spiritual significance. There are rooms available for bhakts for free. Mahaprasad is served twice a day. Your car can go upto a certain height. There is a parking available in which one can park car overnight (paid). One has to climb around 200 steps to reach top. You get people who help you carry luggage for Rs50 per bag. There are two offices. One can check room availability in both.

Best place to visit in any season. You just need to climb 90-100 stairs, otherwise you can take your personal vehicle to the top. There are people to help out in carrying bags if you have many. They charge a bit for the same. They serve morning breakfast(8:30am to 9:30am) and lunch (12.30pm to 2pm) as Prasad. They also have bhakt nivas in the temple, just check for availability in advance as it is too full during peak times. Parking is available.

What a wonderful and divine experience.... must visit place while near satara... this place has really very positive and pure vibes ...beauty and simplicity of nature and temples and architects built there... scenic views and spiritual history of the place makes you feel like you went in 700 year ago old Era.... Beautiful temples and peaceful and helpful people everywhere... There is free accommodation available on the fort with basic stay needs but u can stay only if u have any spiritual practice want to follow... Parking is available for four wheeler.... and you have to climb approx 180 steps which takes 10 to 15 mins for healthy young person... there is Palkhi available for elders and physically challanged people.. which cost 600 per person for round trip.. This is not a tourist place and if you are visiting and planning to stay there as a tourist then it's not good... you should have a purpose of your own spiritual upliftment through any Sadhana marg ...

Sajjanagad means the fort of good people. It is the last resting place of Ramdas Swami. Quite a crowded place on the weekend. It is a 20-25min trek. Good place to visit with your family.
