Rudradhari Waterfall - Tourist attraction in Kantali, Someshwar Range - Almora, India

The Trek was great... The mahdev temple is very peaceful... Was expecting the waterfall to be more voluminous... But because we went there just before monsoon ...the water fall was very scarce... I think the waterfall can be expected to be in good shape after monsoon... All in all good treking experience for beginners

From my experience the best time to visit the Rudradhari Falls would be during the monsoon or later May. There is a beautiful trek of about 1.5KM. The waterfall has a Shiv Temple adjacent to it. There are many Eateries before the trek but none on the way. The water is clean and cold. Must visit! Neil's Tip:DO NOT VISIT DURING SUMMERS

This temple is inside a cave deep in the forest. The hike to the temple is a short yet lovely one. Especially if you start very early in the morning. I had a great time hopping boulders, crossing streams, picking up Rhododendron flowers and clicking ton of pics. A must do hike if in Kausani, but not for the seniors who may have joint pain or are not used to hiking.

About 1 km trekking to the fall, avoid going from May to Aug, as you will see no waterfall during that period.

Its a nice waterfall located in Bageshwar district not very far away from Kausani. I went to visited in the month of July when some Rain was there. You have to track through a jungle trail for 1.5 km to each it. During monsoon season the quantity of water falling down was very good. Crossing the stream 6 times made the experience memorable. Don't forget to visit the ancient temple located adjacent to it.

Nice trek. The guides will ask for about 500/-.....try to bargain 200/- to 300/- should be enough. We did it on our own. Try to keep the weather picture in mind, because if it rains the Trek may get dangerous.

Situated in Kausani. Reach Kausani from Almora or Bageshwar road. First cover Sumitra Nandan Pant House, Gandhi Anasakti Ashram, Sarala Ben ashram. Then book a taxi (Rs. 600-700) to Rudradhari waterfall. Road is ok. Around 10KM from kausani. Then 4-5KM walking way from jungle. You can take guide also. Beautiful walking place besides river.. open in all season, check rainy days situation. Take Shivji's blessings, offer Dakshina to priest, offer waterfall jal to shivji.

It's mainly Mahadev temple not only waterfall in the valley. Trek is about 3 kms to and fro. In this Trek you cross water streams multiple times so plan accordingly. In starting of this Trek you found food shops.. no food shops or pooja material shops nearby Mahadev temple or waterfall. Avoid to going in rainy season. Keep environment clean. Don't throw garbage in the Trek.
