For the rate charged really bad. Rooms and toilets in poor condition. The bed linen and towels need to be replaced. No geyser. Staff attitude is good but there is no cook. Food is basic. The owners seem to be banking on just the view from the hotei's balcony. The view is great but there is a garbage and sanitation issue in the entire forest village.

Recently (15-Nov, 2013 to 17-Nov, 2013), I had the opportunity to visit Jayanti. There were four of us and we booked two double bed 1st Floor Rooms at Rover's Inn Jayanti. The employees, including the co-owner Mr. Partha Sarathi Roy was very cordial. The Food was excellent. The First Floor Rooms were good, the cistern in the bathroom was working, one the employees swept the rooms and the verandah regularly. The staff tried their level best to meet al our demands. However, as we stayed on the first floor, and all the rooms on the ground floor was booked, I did not have the opportunity to see the ground floor rooms; so can not make any comment about how they are. A humble suggestion to any one planning to visit Jayanti - Please remember,Jjayanti falls under the core area of Buxa Tiger Reserve. Most of the accomodations are of home stay kind. So, do not expect luxury. Keep in mind the ground realities, there's a scarcity of water, so please don't start washing your clothes or expect a laundry service or expect a luxurious room with a King sized bed.

Just look at the photo of their dining room on google and you would know. Dont go by the pictures on their website. Ideally this cheat of a place should be given 0 stars. Worst hotel I have visited in a long long time. The room and the toilet were so terrible that we had to run away from there. The hotel owner in return took the full money without considering the fact that the rooms are unstayable. Please stay as far as you can from this dirty filth of a place run by thugs and cheaters. Ohh, I nearly forgot this hotel is situated in a slum area full of dirt and foul smell.

Don't go to this hotel. They are basically cheat. We were four. And booked the hotel for 3 days( 2 rooms each @Rs1400/_ per night) and also advanced Rs4000/_. But after reaching there we discovered the hotel as in a nightmare. All the amenities we could have are very bad. Bathroom was dirty. Water also smells bad. No service was available. After that we want to negotiate with the owner to reduce our booking days from 3 to 2. We said her that we were going to leave that place. But she misbehaved with us. On that day we decided to leave the place. On next morning when, claiming no money, we were leaving the hotel, they were trying to block our luggage and harassed us physically. But somehow with the support of local people we managed to get out from the place. So I suggest all of you, not to go to this hotel.

Whoever wants to go to Jayanti, please keep away from this hotel. It is a hell hole. We booked a four bed and two double beds at Standard??? rooms for three nights and paid Rs. 5000/- as advance. On reaching the hotel we started realising we had made grave mistake. The whole hotel and surroundngs look like a shanties. We thought maybe the rooms are good, so we entered the alloted rooms and discovered that walls are swelling with damp. There are three beds attached together with four pillows, termed as four bedded room!!! The rooms are not sufficient for placing two beds let alone three beds....which resulted in a cramped situation. the toilet also had a big damp running from the ceiling to the base....which we discovered it to be the leaking water from the toilets of first floor. The floor of the toilet was full with black particles which were probably coming from the rotting door frames. By the way, you have to pull the toilet door upward to fix the door bolt. One bottle of water was given and we had to ask manager for providing tumbler. For three rooms they gave us three tumblers and when asked for another one ...the reply was ...ask the manager. There were cobwebs and dirt everywhere and the total look is so shabby that it was quite evident it was dying and nobody cared to look after it. The first floor rooms seemed to be little better but the occupants of first floor told me if you do not get any accommodation in Jayanti then only you may stay here instead of risking your life at open. We decided to cancel the booking and informed the owner about that. We had advanced 5000/- but stayed only for a single day so had already paid in excess, but the owner demanded rental for three days and said we will not be allowed to leave hotel unless we pay for the days which we did not stay. He threatened me with dire consequences. However, we managed to get out of that hell and could find us a good lodge for the remaining two days. Lastly, even the local people were shocked when we told them that we are staying at Rovers Inn......they only asked..." You could not find any other hotel?" If you value your money and your mental peace then I strongly advice not to stay at the ROVERS INN!!

This is the worst place in jayanti. Caretaker is very good. But the owner is very bad, rude and arrogant. The rooms are dirty. The switch boards are half open. And there is even no arrangement of tea. Please avoid this hotel if you want a hazzardless holiday.

This Hotel is Basically a place of Anti social. They book the room in one price and provide the inferior room. What happened to me is that, I booked a room at 1250/- fro two days(2640/- including service tax) but when ii went to that hotel then they provide me a 600/- priced room. and that is very much nasty and absolutely not cleaned at all. And the staffs using the slangs every time. I never seen this type of hotel in my life, Its beyond my word to explain the behaviour and condition of the hotel( it is extreme bad) and location is very bad.

Pathetic experience. We have booked 4 rooms 4 months back for December 27 th 2018 in Rovers Inn Buxa. Upon arrival we came to know that they have booked a different resort as they have no rooms available. Then we moved to that other resort and found that no rooms are booked for us. The owner did not take any responsibility. I suggest not to book Rovers Inn either at Buxa or Jayanti.
