Ross View Hotel And Resort - Hotel in Port Blair - South Andamans, India

This is a very well located Hotel and the view of the sea from the balcony in common area is very nice. The rooms are small but well maintained and really beautiful. There is no lift in the hotel but the rooms are either in ground floor or first floor only for the guests. So it is not a big problem. The options in breakfast is very limited and we expected some options here. This would definitely enhance the stay quality here. We stayed here for two nights and really enjoyed our stay here. The Vegetarian Restaurant "Annapurna" is at a walking distance so our food issues were resolved. The early checkout in morning was complemented by packed breakfast as the breakfast timing did not match with the departure of our cruiz. The port is close by so hardly takes five minutes by car. The hotel owner arranges a car if required at market rate. Overall the stay here was very pleasing.

Everything was good for this hotel except the size of the room. The room size and bed size was quite small for 2 adults with 2 kids and when i asked for extra bedding, I was told it will be charged Rs 1600 extra. So we decided to manage with same bed although could not sleep well. This is why I give 1 star less. Otherwise exceptional cleanliness, excellently well maintained room, excellent bathroom fittings, proximity to cellular jail, market and jetty point for Ross Island, north bay island. Food served was also good. Overall value for money.

We had stayed at Ross View Hotels for 5 nights, booked through MakeMyTrip. True to the other positive reviews I had read about this hotel, it was indeed a pleasant and memorable experience overall staying here. The owner, Mr. Ajay Singh, took personal care of us and provided us with valuable tips for our sightseeing trips. We had breakfast one day and dinner one day and managed our other meals outside to cope with our tight itinerary. The food was delectable and the portions were generous. You will have to allow 45 mins to 1 hour preparation time though. The room itself, though a bit compact for 3 members, was quite cosy and had all amenities like geyser, TV, air conditioning etc. in addition to clean bathrooms. The best part about this hotel is its strategic location. Aberdeen Jetty (from where ferries ply back and forth to Ross Island and North Bay Island) and the Cellular Jail are within walking distance from here. An auto ride to Haddo Jetty, from where Makruzz and other ferries ply to and from Havelock & Neil Islands, will cost you Rs.100. For pure South Indian vegetarians like me who crave idli/dosa/pongal, pure vegetarian restaurants nearby like Annapoorna and Kattabomman provided the much needed gastronomical relief. Aberdeen Bazaar is an interesting stretch nearby if you want to shop for T-shirts, shorts, bags, goggles etc. or if you're looking for some quick eats. An evening stroll along the coast from Marina Park to Tiranga Memorial is a highly recommended late evening activity.

Great stay at this hotel. As the name describes, we get the view of Ross Island from the balcony of the hotel. The room along with the bathroom was very good. The staff's behavior was nice and helpful. Both the food's quality and quantity was great. In short, we loved the stay.

I stayed here for three days. The property is very good feels like home with all facility in room. The owner of the property Mr. Ajay is very nice person and helped us a lot. You can order food in advance and it is prepared by cook in guidance of his wife and the taste of food is like your home food. The price of food is also very region-able. The property is just opposite to stadium and approx 2km from the cellular jail and all the other view point in port blair. We enjoyed a lot chit chatting with Mr Ajay listening his experience so far. I will recommend this place to couple/Family/Individual.

Location is very beautiful. The manager of the hotel is very co operative and helpful.He arranged our car for sight seeing without any problem. Though the cost of break fast,lunch and dinner is high but the quality of food is very hygienic and testy. Availability is as per order.

A nice family run place situated almost walking distance from the market. Celular jail and other tourist spots are very near. situated in a silent neighborhood so no disturbance. nice clean rooms and washrooms . food served was of good quality. Morning view from the common balcony is awesome.

Very pleasant stay. Nearby to jail and jetty. Peaceful environment. Very clean and comfortable rooms. Excellent hospitality and guidance from the owner. Especially if you have planned for the trip independently, He has several contacts to help us move around and see places with all standard affordable prices. Worth visiting the place.
