Riverine Backwater Resort - Resort hotel in Kuttanad Taluk - Alappuzha, India

Resort has to be reached before 6 pm. Need to take a boat ride to reach the resort which is arranged by the hotel authorities. Location of the resort is good. Food options is very limited. Complimentary breakfast provided is good. No intercoms in rooms. Hot water available 24 hours. Clean rooms & bedding. Everything has to be planned & bought before reaching the resort as you cannot go out after dark. Nice place to relax for peace lovers. Rooms should have more privacy. Overall, a nice experience.

The location is excellent and right at the backwater bund. The exterior view is very attractive. Presently all the rooms are facing the backwater and you can view a houseboat travelling every 5 minutes. The Car park is at a home situated at kanjipadam. From there, they will pick u in a boat and will take about 15 minutes to reach the resort. ( In this you are getting a free boat ride bothways and that is excellent ). There is geyser for hot water and Wifi. Food quality is average and price is reasonable compared to other resorts. They have a houseboat too but need to book separately. The area is totally isolated and has no access to other areas except through the boat. After 5pm there is no boat servce and beware of this while booking and plan your arrival and departure accordingly. If you love to stay isolated, this is the best place, you are out of the world. There is no other activities in the resort and there is no swimming pool. Only option is to sit in the cottage front and relax...........

We stayed in this hotel for two days during our holiday in Kerala, We arrived at eight at night. Mr. Binoy, was very helpful and provided the boat service to the resort. The room was a superior - nothing to rave about - a room with superb backwater view. Beautiful rooms with great setting - fantastic for relaxing. The hotel has an aryuvedic massage service. We had buffet breakfast and dinner for the last two nights there. The buffets were great as the buffet menus changed each day. The spread and quality of food was good. Waiters, bell boys and concierge were very well trained and helpful. Overall, we had no complaints and were happy with the hotel.

Five stars for location and scenic view of river in front of rooms and paddy fields behind the room. four star for food. food was like home food. They made dosas for kids on request. And 3stars for amenities. rooms was simple and neat. but wash/bath rooms could be better. no hot water. flush not working properly. They gave hot water from kitchen for bath. Friendly staffs and manager. Since there is no road route to the hotel, they picked us from Kanjipadam boat jetty and dropped us back there for free. Overall nice experience and great place if amenities could be improved.

We stayed 2 nights in cottage and 1 night at boat house. Welcomed with a soft drink Food is tasty. Medium spicy. They will cook if you want something. Friendly staffs. Not any money minded behavior that's an excellent thing from them. It was an awesome stay and spent a quality time. Kiran is the manager there very friendly attitude. Will suggest for friends stay, family stay..,

A very very private, calm and serene place to stay. You jave to reach the resort by boat which is provided by the resort and is complementary. And the guys over there are very friendly. Food is also tasty, but you have to preorder before 7PM or so. Overall a nice place to stay with your loved ones for couple of days.

I totally loved the resort and the hospitality given by the staff. The staff especially Justin (Manager) & Nandu are one man Army for the resort . Location was awesome and the food you will love for sure. The best part is the hospitality and the service provided by the resort staff. I would definitely recommend this resort to everyone. The difficulty I faced was to search the resort through GPS, i would recommend you must search for the Kanjhipadam boat jetty point or ask some one to reach at that spot. The resort has their own boat service to pick and drop which operates only between 9am to 5:30 pm , this is basically because of the local people fishing timings . The localities are very strict on their fishing schedule before 9 am and after 5:30 pm they don't allow anyone to use speedboats and houseboats in that area , so please plan your travel according to that . One thing I must say that Mr. Justin and Mr. Nandu both are one man army for the resort and the resort must be proud of having them in their team.

Very beautiful location with a view of the backwater from the villa. The rooms are neat and tidy, but not swanky. For 2.5 k a night this is an excellent value for money resort. I will repeat that the location is awesome. In the middle of nowhere with water body on one side and paddy fields on the other, this place is great for honing the art of idleness. But that is all you can do there. Just chill and unwind. Service was superb. Conveniences limited
