Houseboat stay is a one of the amazing experience with homely stay and good nadan food.Kuttanad, lies at the very heart of the backwaters in Alappuzha district. The wealth of paddy in the area is what earned Kuttanad its unique moniker. Kuttanad is located in the interior of the district and is a huge area of reclaimed land that is separated by dikes from water higher than it appears. The view of the countryside from houseboats on the backwaters is equally enchanting. You shld try atleast a day tour to experience the beauty of backwater and the amazing local food.

Nice place...but it could be maintained in a more cleanly and hygienic manner It's a good tourist spot but it doesn't seem like the living conditions of the native people there is good...there seems to be a great lack of hygienic living conditions for the locals
