Rewalsar Zoo Park - Zoo in Rewalsar - Mandi, India

I visited this place in August, 2023. There were only three animals there. No use of resources. Himachal Government should take initiative to maintain this zoo. Entry fees is 20rs/person.

My recent visit to Rewalsar Zoo with a friend was rather disappointing, to say the least. The potential of the zoo was evident, yet the glaring shortcomings overshadowed any positive aspects. Upon arriving, I couldn't help but notice the extent of the investment poured into the zoo's infrastructure. However, it was immediately apparent that the allocation of funds was questionable at best. The condition of the facilities and enclosures left much to be desired, and it became evident that the zoo had not lived up to the expectations set by the hefty investment. It's disheartening to think that the money, which could have been used to create a well-maintained and immersive animal habitat, might have been squandered on non-essential conveniences or benefits for contractors. The result was a zoo that failed to provide adequate living conditions for the animals it housed. The state of the enclosures and general upkeep was indeed far from satisfactory. The animals appeared to be living in less-than-ideal environments, which was both distressing and disappointing. It's evident that despite the efforts and resources invested, the zoo's management had not prioritized the well-being and comfort of its inhabitants. In the end, what could have been a promising and enjoyable outing turned into a sobering experience. It's unfortunate to see a place with potential fall short due to mismanagement and a lack of attention to the fundamental needs of the animals and the overall visitor experience. As a visitor, I hope that the Rewalsar Zoo takes these concerns seriously and addresses the pressing issues at hand. There's a clear need for improvements in the infrastructure, animal habitats, and overall management to transform the zoo into a place that genuinely honors the animals it houses and provides visitors with an educational and enjoyable experience.

View is very good .... Although there are not lot of animals in zoo ... On off season there less crowd ... Markets are bit not costly .... Good fast food available... As a whole weekend spending place ...

Nice place to visit. It is situated near to the rewalsar lake. Its quite nice place but still needs more maintenance. Different animals are there. So if you visit rewalsar then visit this place too.

Rewalsar Zoo Park is a leisure park near the zoo where fairground attractions are installed. It's not Disney land but it's nice for children to have fun

The view is not up to the expectations. But although the surrounding was clean enough and well maintained.
