Beautiful resort, a tad expensive, but considering the location, service and the price of nearby resorts, this is a great option. The rooms are clean and have a vintage look. The quality of food is great as well. We went bird-watching early in the morning despite rains, and we did see quite a few birds. We went for group safari and it was arranged by the resort person only. Though we did not see much wildlife there, but very happy with how the arrangements were made in short notice

I regret to share a disappointing experience at the hotel. Despite the premium price, the stay fell short in every aspect. The staff's behavior was unsatisfactory, the property is poorly maintained, and the lack of available personnel for reception and housekeeping was frustrating. Additionally, the subpar Wi-Fi added to the overall dissatisfaction. No one was available on call. There is no cell phone reception. This stay was far from worth the price paid. Would recommend not to waste your money on this property and book any other place. Booking name : Mridul bahety Booking date : 25th - 26th November, 2023

"Red Earth Resort: A Disappointing Experience in Every Aspect My recent visit to Red Earth Resort left me thoroughly disappointed. Not only did the resort charge exorbitant fees, but the overall management was abysmal. From the poor customer service to the lack of basic amenities, my stay was far from enjoyable. The rooms were dingy and unkempt, and the staff seemed disinterested in addressing any concerns. I strongly advise against anyone considering this resort for a relaxing getaway. Save your money and look elsewhere for a pleasant retreat."

I visited the place during first week of September. It was not raining a lot, hence weather was pleasant. Overall it was a good experience with something that they can improve. If you wanted to take a break, this is one of the place. You don't come here just for the stay at night. We did not use safari, as we were not interested in it. So, I can't comment on it. What we liked ============ 1. Lot of greenery. Except for cottages and restaurant the place is covered with all different kind of plants and trees. 2. Nice and clean cottage, with very good views of a man made pond. 3. Food was good. Just enough varieties. 4. Next to a backwater. So, they had boating facilities. Otherwise you can go for cycling next to the backwater. 5. Friendly staff. Minimal restrictions. 6. The place is inside village, so no noise. You will feel the pure oxygen you are breathing. 7. They had activities everyday, like magic show, wild life documentary. 8. Cottages were quipped with jacuzzi What could be improved. ==================== 1. No covered parking. My car was parked (with valet parking), under a tree. I did not realize till checkout, as we were mostly inside the resort. The leaves and flowers from the tree fell on car and it was sticking. A slight drizzle for few mins made it worse. Caused all kids of marks on the paint. 2. Some of activities like coracle ride was chargeable. It came as a surprise for us during checkout, as we thought it was free. 3. Though they had lot of cycles, only two were working, that too with some difficulty. Nothing that kids can use. 4. Lights were not placed well on the way. It was kept at ground level, may be to serve a different purpose. But visibility was not good. Not a big issue. 5. They had a gift shop. Not very useful. Instead they could sell some of the plants/seeds they have in their resort. 6. Power used to go on and off. They had backup. But it takes sometime to switch, till then it is completely dark.

Great experience and very good vibe due to friendly staffs in this resort. Food was the highlight in this resort. My kids loved it. The vegetables and fruits are home-grown inside the resort itself. Our room garden had star fruit and pear trees. Beautiful place to hang out with friends and families. They also have events going on every evening with locals performing some diety dances (the one of a kind that comes in kantara) and its really important for us to show those to our kids. It is really thoughtful of red-earth staff to provide such platforms for those locals and showing the village culture/tradition to the visitors. On the day we reached this resort, my kid got injured. And the staffs were very supportive and immediately took us to the nearby clinic and provided full medical support as well. For kids, they have swimming pool, trampoline, horse-riding, coracle ride, trekking, bird-watch, animal feeding etc. 3 nights is good enough time to spend here. Will definitely visit here again with my friends. One suggestion to Red-Earth: Probably you should have a red-earth sticker on those glass doors in the balcony. They are plain see-through glasses which kids or even elders can mistake them as just an open to the balcony and might collide with them.

Kabini Red Earth was a poor choice. We stayed here for 3 nights as a family of four. The resort is simply overpriced relative to the amenities offered. I stayed in the "highest end" rooms and the rooms are old; musty. The fans screech and spin; the A/C drones perilously through the night. I found the female owner to be extremely arrogant. Furthermore, I learnt that the staff are paid exploitive low salaries despite attestations of "providing living wages" for the staff. We thought the food was excellent and the staff were kind and seemed loyal.

Great place for a day trip with family. Enjoyed all aspects. It's lush green with amazing flora and fauna. The walk on the side of the backwaters is very peaceful and coracle rides are not to be missed. Family enjoyed spending time in the private jacuzzi in the cottage. Food was decent. They also had a tribal dance in the evening which was something new for us. Got a chance to dance alongside the performers. Special mention for Mr.Kempanna for explaining everything and taking care of our specific requests for our kids. Couple of suggestions that can be improved in the property: -EV charger can be provided. Most of the big and luxury resorts are providing that now. - There could be more activities for the price. Specially some rope activities like zipline etc would be a good addition. - Board games can be made available outside the bar so that kids can play without restrictions They also coordinate with safari by car and boat. However, we chose to rest in the room and enjoy the jacuzzi that is temperature controlled.
