A must visit place when in Bokaro Steel City. Jai Shree Ram. Hanuman mandir which was on 1st floor has moved down to ground floor with a whole bunch of new small temples coming up in the back yard.
Ram Mandir in Sector 1, Bokaro is a beautiful and well-maintained Hindu temple. It is located in a busy area of the city, however the temple grounds are peaceful and serene. The temple is dedicated to Lord Rama, one of the most important deities in Hinduism.
The temple was built in the early 1980s and is made of white marble. The main entrance is decorated with intricate carvings of Hindu deities. The interior of the temple is also beautifully decorated with murals and sculptures.
The temple is open to the public from 6am to 9pm every day. There are regular pujas (prayer ceremonies) held at the temple, and it is a popular place for Hindus to come to worship.
In the temple premises, various other deities are also worshipped, each having their own dedicated sub-temples. These include deities such as Lord Ganesha, Maa Durga, Maa Kali, Surya Dev, Hanuman ji, Radhe Krishna, and many more.
Overall, Ram Mandir is a beautiful and peaceful temple that is worth visiting if you are in Bokaro. It is a great place to come to worship or simply to appreciate the architecture and atmosphere.
Ram Mandir at Bokaro is managed by the Shree Ram Mandir Trust, which organises around 250 marriages of the poor people, every year at low cost. The temple was constructed in the year 1967 by labour leader Pt. Parma Nand Tripathi.
The temple is dedicated to Lord Rama, but also has various small temples of Radha Krishna Mandir, Hanuman Mandir and many more. There are also Lord Venkateshwar Mandir, Kali Mandir, Sheetala Mandir and Shiva Mandir located within the premises. The temple also houses a rishi niwas and a holy library.
The market close to the Ram Mandir is the oldest market of Bokaro, which is famous for its coffee house as well as samosa, chaat, batata pori, phucka and rolls.
