Rakasganda Waterfall - Tourist attraction in Nawgai - Surajpur, India

Overall good waterfall. For sightseeing purpose, very adventurous fall. For swimming purpose, a big NO. For Day Picnic purpose, you can count on this place. But be cautious while driving becuase Road near entry requires some renovation. SUV is most suitable vehicle for last 1-2 km road.

The place has potential to be a good picnic spot but at present you need to carry your own snacks, food and water. Shelter from sun are also not available and the fall itself is pretty steep so exercise caution.

I would say this is the best among all other places near Singrauli to visit with family and friends. Main waterfall is dangerous, don't go too close to it, specially children. You would not get food in the surrounding area. Bring food or arrangements to cook. Go during winter season in the morning, spend full day, cook n enjoy.

Waterfall with picnic spot. Waterfall is located in Chattisgarh near M.P. C.G. border. Picnic spot location is near the water body, car parking is little bit far away from the spot although some cemented shelter is built by government. No barricading is provided near waterfall. Please be cautious near the end. If willing to take bath/ enjoy water body please be aware waterflow suddenly increase after 2-3 pm.

This place is beautiful and having very peaceful environment. If local administration will improve the road and other basic facilities on the way to rasganda including safety then this can be the best picnic spot and good source of earning for the local peoples. Please be aware to leave this area on or before 5 to 6 pm because if you stucked on way then it is little bit difficult to get the help from anyone instantly.
